What’s up Limitless LifeTM family! Today’s guest is Susie Moore, a digital course creator, publicity genius, and author of the recent book, Stop Checking Your Likes: Shake off the need for approval and live an incredible life. Susie’s work has been featured in places like the Today show, Forbes, Cosmopolitan, and heaps of other outlets. And most importantly (to me, anyway): she’s one of my dearest and closest friends.

I met Susie years ago when one of our mutual friends introduced us through a text, saying that we needed to meet because we’d get along swimmingly. Susie lived in New York at the time, so when I was in town, we made plans to meet up for the first time in person, and when we did, we proceeded to chat for 4 hours straight. Our friend was right -- hit it off, we did. Since then, Susie has grown into one of my most cherished friends. She’s able to effortlessly combine wisdom and irreverence, which usually means that when we hang out, we have lots of deep conversations that are peppered with constant fits of laughter. The way it should be, ya know?

In this interview, we’re digging into a lot of the concepts Susie discusses in her new book, like how to really trust your inner guidance, what it looks like to stop seeking approval from everyone but yourself, and the secret ingredient for living a powerful and joyful life. Snuggle up, because this conversation will feel like you’re chatting with a girlfriend, all while challenging you to become the most limitless version of yourself. Let’s dive in!

I am so excited to share this episode with guest Nataly Kogan. Nataly is the founder and CEO of Happier, which is a global learning platform and app that has helped more than one million people live happier lives. Her work has been featured in hundreds of media outlets including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Tedx Boston and more. Today she is sharing some of the top tips from her latest book, Happier Now. Nataly really brings it here and she’s got the knowledge, the stories and the attitude to really help you make a transformation in your life!

This episode inspired me deeply. I love the charisma and realistic outlook that Nataly brings to this conversation. Not to mention, she shares tons of practical tips and advice for anyone who wants to live their happiest life, right now. You’ll also hear about how she came to the US as a refugee from the Soviet Union and ended up building an incredibly successful business, but it ended up being unfulfilling to her. Now she focuses more on finding joy and purpose in her life instead of chasing achievements. Can you relate to that? I know I sure can as I’ve totally been there too.

This is one of my favorite episodes to date, and if you enjoyed it too and got something out of it, I would be so happy if you could take a screenshot of you listening to it on your device. Post it on your Instagram feed or stories, and tag me, @melyssa_griffin, and let me know how it’s resonated and helped you in your life!

Hey Everyday World Changers! Today’s guest, Leesa Renee Hall, is quite literally one of my favorite people. She’s the kind of woman who is unapologetically herself and says what’s on her mind and her heart, even if she knows that some people may get rubbed in the wrong way. As a recovering “nice girl” myself, this is something that I’ve been working on bringing into my life more too, and I’m just so inspired by how Leesa shows up in the world.

We dig really deep here, and in this conversation we talk about a unique writing practice that Leesa teaches and says is one of the best things she’s ever done for developing more self-awareness, discovering who she truly is deep down and embodying more of herself in everything she does. She knows a thing or two about writing and vulnerability, because she is the author of 7 (almost 8!) books, and more recently, has turned her attention to writing about the intersection of race, spirituality and leadership.

In this discussion she’ll help you dissect your own identity in a really meaningful way, so that you can truly see who it is you’re being in order to become who you’re really meant to be.

If this episode resonated with you, it would make my day if you could take a screenshot of you listening on your device. Post it on your Instagram feed or stories, and tag me, @melyssa_griffin, and let me know how helped you. Knowing that people like you are listening to this podcast is honestly what keeps this show going!

Welcome back to Limitless LifeTM! I know it’s been a couple of weeks since we’ve last chatted, but I decided to take two weeks off from promoting our podcast and sharing new episodes because I really wanted to give voice to the black educators and creators, especially during a time like this. This week won’t be the last time you hear me talk about Black Lives Matter, and you’ll hear how we as a team iare ncorporating anti-racism in our business moving forward (stay tuned for an episode coming next week to hear more on what we’ll be doing).

Today I’ve got a really special episode for you, which is an interview with a dear friend of mine named Allyson Byrd. We recorded this talk a couple of months ago now, but I’m really excited to share her wisdom with you, because Allyson is someone who has such a way with words and communication that she motivates the heck out of those who hear her!

If you haven’t heard of Allyson, she is also known as the “Profit AcceleratorTM,” and she is the first and only small business owner to create an international production house for thought leaders to be executive produced in publication, online platform expansion, and offline sales strategies. In the past 8 years of her being in business, Allyson has worked with over 3,000 entrepreneurial thought leaders, helping them create over $105 million in new revenue.

Our conversation here really centers around her thoughts and wisdom as it pertains to money and wealth, and as always, I was blown away by Allyson’s insights and expertise. I have feeling you are going to love what she has to say.

Hey, Limitless LifeTM family!

So I gotta be honest, today's coaching call might be one of my favorites. Maybe it's because I know today's coachee on a more personal level as someone in my mastermind. Over the past few months, I've been able to really see her blossom even more into her beautiful, bold self as a business owner, a mom, a woman, all the things. She's just an incredible person, and her name is Kelli.

Kelli was noticing that this fear kept creeping up that was holding her back, and she wanted to get some more support around how to move past this once and for all. This fear that was coming up, as you'll discover in today's coaching call, is that she would get tons of amazing comments from people on social media. Then every once in a while, Kelli would get a comment from somebody who she'd never even heard of telling her that she was a fraud or questioning whether what she's selling is a scam.

Often these are complete strangers on the internet who don't know her at all, and they're mixed in with tons of comments from people who absolutely love her work. But she was really letting these comments get to her head. Kelli revealed to me that in her family dynamic growing up, she got a lot of messages about needing to look like you have it all together. Needing to look perfect to everyone else out there, to not shine too brightly, to not take up too much space.

So as we navigate through today's coaching conversation, you'll get a glimpse into how your family dynamics and programming growing up (and even to this day) might be affecting your results in your business, causing you to hold yourself back in a really tragic way.

We create some solutions in today's episode so that you don't have to do that anymore. So that you can actually remove the programming and the conditioning that you learned a long, long time ago. So that you can really let yourself be seen for the imperfect but whole person that you are.

Stay tuned because this conversation is going to change you.

Let's dive in.

Limitless Life - The Sacred Power of Cacao with Christine Hernandez
play

06/08/21 • 41 min

CHOCOLATE! It’s one of the most popular sweet treats all over the world — And I’d be surprised if you said you didn’t love to enjoy it from time to time... I know I do!

But why am I talking about chocolate right now?

Well, one of the main ingredients found in chocolate — cacao — has a LOT more benefits than you might think. It’s actually been used in sacred ceremonial settings since ancient times to enhance our connection to Mother Earth and invoke feelings of ecstasy.

In this week's episode author, founder, and “cacao goddess” Christine Hernandez shares the transformative powers of cacao and how you can incorporate this medicine into your own life.

In this episode you’ll hear:

  • Why Christine says that cacao not only changed her life, but saved it [0:57]
  • The way she came to realize that it was a big part of her ancestry and family history [4:12]
  • What you can expect when taking the medicine, and what Christine’s own ceremony process looks like [7:48]
  • Her thoughts on mainstream cacao, plus why it matters so much where your cacao comes from [13:41]
  • The positive changes in the younger generation that Christine is seeing in terms of their knowledge of, and respect for, the medicine [26:36]
  • How she is now making her Maltyox Method accessible to even more people [28:49]
  • What Christine does to connect to her sensual, feminine, and divine self [30:28]
  • Why allowing ourselves to play more is so important for each one of us [34:21]
  • Exciting announcements Christine has about the republishing of her book [37:02]

You know when you connect with someone and you just GET each other? Well, that’s how I felt while chatting with Jessica. As a travel lover myself, I was super eager to chat with her and just learn more about her travels. Like, what did she learn from visiting every country on the planet? How did it feel as a single woman? And why is it particularly significant that she did it as the first black woman in history? Don’t you worry, we get into ALL of that in today’s episode!

But first, in case you’re unfamiliar with Jessica’s story, she’s a Detroit-born Ugandan-American who is on a mission to make the online travel space more inclusive. In addition to sharing her travels online, she’s also the founder of Jet Black, a boutique luxury travel firm, and The Catch, which features physical goods that Jessica acquired during her global adventures.

As you’ll discover in today’s conversation, she’s a firm believer in spreading cultural awareness and in helping people to think more positively about other cultures and people you may encounter. We had a great back-and-forth discussion in this episode, and I’m excited for you to listen. This woman has a lot of wisdom to share and I seriously appreciate her limitless outlook on the world. If you want to live a more unstoppable, adventurous, and positive life, then this episode is for you. Let’s do this!
