Designers will never be the expert in the room.
That’s an interesting pill to swallow, but it couldn’t be more true. We are tasked with working in so many different fields. But what we must bring to the table is our ability to extract insights, gain empathy and facilitate co-creation.
Join me for an endlessly fascinating conversation with Peter Smart. Peter leads global design at Fantasy as Managing Partner and Head of Product Design. He's shipped industry-shifting products for the likes of Royal Caribbean, Netflix, UFC, Google, Facebook, Huawei, Twitter, The Academy of Motion Pictures and 23andMe. He's been a prolific speaker since 2012, speaking on innovation, human-centered design and entrepreneurialism, having founded and ran his first full-service design agency at age 15.

On this week's episode I have Miriam Isaac. She is a Senior Product Designer, also voted one of the top 18 designer instagrams to follow in 2019, voted Top 8 Women in Tech, and has worked for Fortune 200 companies.

Our conversation started as a back and forth on instagram when I posted what I call a "Designer Quick Rant" and I...in so many words, said that I thought a particular video of a paper prototype was "an egregious waste of time." Well, Miriam thought otherwise. And I wanted to continue our civil discourse, so here we are today. We also talk about other UX Design related things, so it's not all debate, people! ;)
