I love this interview with Stacy Scheel-Hirsch about 'resourcing'. Resourcing is how we access and apply self-care. Imagine all the resources we tap into within to survive and thrive.
Stacy talks us through how to access our inner resources, how mindfulness is a helpful tool and the different dimensions of wellness.
We explore stories and examples and she also shares with us about her free weekly meditation group that meets online.
Stacy is a trauma-informed mindfulness teacher, resilience coach and organizational wellness consultant. She is passionate about helping people find safe and supportive ways to connect with their humanity so that they can live each day with more purpose, empathy, and a greater sense of belonging.
Clients describe Stacy as “a deeply rooted person” and “one of those rare knowledgeable, sensitive, and talented individuals” with a “deep capacity for empathy and an ability to cut through foggy thinking with remarkable insight.”

I hope you enjoy this episode with Teresa Quadres as she talks about Polyvagal Theory, how our autonomic nervous system works and the "rungs of the ladder": ventral vagal state, sympathetic state and dorsal vagal state. Most importantly, we talk about how to recognize and befriend each of these states.

Something I feel so strongly about is supporting our older adults in continuing to find meaning in their lives whether that is giving back, pursuing a passion or learning something new. Listen to Kari, her colleague Susan Martelino, and I talk about the program they use to help older adults find that sense of connection to life and living.
