A new poll from Yahoo News/YouGov reports that 77% of Americans say that inflation is impacting their lives. Most of the people polled blame Biden, correctly I might add.

Following the Greek alphabet naming convention, omicron is the 14th variant of the Wuhan Flu. In two years the World Health Organization has identified 14 variants and each one is supposed to stoke fear-mongering. Never mind that in the whole history of virology, variants become less deadly, shut up, and get vaccinated.

Mexico has placed some demands on reinstating the remain in Mexico program. Mexico wants the US to offer vaccines, provide healthcare, and fund shelters and non-government agencies to care for illegal aliens. Hell, that is more than US citizens get from the government. That may be more of an incentive to come illegally than citizenship.

News headlines in a Liberty Minute for Thursday, day 613 of 15 days to flatten the curve.

The Biden administration wants the Federal Trade Commission to investigate if price gouging is causing increased gas prices. Seriously? Joe, you caused the gas prices. You put in so many new regulations you are in the way of production. You are the problem. Was yesterday's sale of the last of the oil drilling leases in the Gulf of Mexico your way of admitting that?

Disney Cruise Line is demanding that everyone 5 years old and up to be vaccinated, while the governor of New Mexico now says that you are not vaccinated unless you've had all the boosters too.

Meanwhile, the OSHA vaccine mandate is on hold but Senate Republicans are attempting to use the Congressional Review Act to make it go away. The Senate Republicans need just one Democrat to vote for the Review. Everyone, just shut up and get vaccinated.

The militarization of the federal government should be a red flag.

Back in 2015, the Department of Justice reported that there were 40 federal agencies with more than 100,000 officers authorized to carry guns.

So, while the federal government is making it more difficult for you to buy firearms and trying to restrict what types of firearms you're allowed to buy, they are arming themselves.

Including the Department of Education, which bought firearms as far back as 2010. I thought schools were gun-free zones. So why does the Department of Education need guns?

Ask yourself one question. When in history has a government become more militant while disarming citizens?
