D: Ποιος.. Ποιος είναι; / Who? Who is it?
E: Γειά σου μπαμπά. Σε ξύπνησα; / Hi Dad. Did I wake you up?
D: Γιώργο! Και βέβαια με ξύπνησες! Είναι τρεις η ώρα το πρωί! Ένα λεπτό... από που τηλεφωνείς; Δεν πήγες στο δωμάτιο σου για να διαβάσεις; Δεν είσαι τώρα στο δωμάτιο σου; / George! Of course you woke me up! It’s three in the morning. One moment... where are you calling from? Didn’t you go to your room to study? Aren’t you in your room now?
E: Εεε, όχι ακριβώς. Ήμουν στο δωμάτιο μου και είχα πολύ διάβασμα και γύρω στη μία λέω “Δεν πάω μία βόλτα για διάλειμμα;” και πήγα έξω και... ήταν πολύ ωραία και... άρχισε να βρέχει. / emmm not exactly. I was in my bedroom and I had a lot to study and around 1 o’clock I said “Why don’t I go for a little walk to have a break?” and I went outside...and it was nice...and it started raining.
D: Γιώργο! Άφησε τις ιστορίες και πες αμέσως τι έγινε! Πού είσαι τώρα; / George! Stop with your stories and tell me now what happened. Where are you now?
E: Στην αστυνομία Καλαμαριάς. / At the police station in Kalamaria
D: Στην αστυνομία; Γιατί στην αστυνομία; / At the police station? Why (are you) at the police station?
E: Εεε, γιατί ξέχασα να πάρω μαζί το δίπλωμα οδήγησης. / Eee, because I forgot to take my drivers license with me.
D: Τι να το κάνεις το δίπλωμα; Με τα πόδια δεν πήγες; / What do you need it for? Didn’t you walk ?
E: Εεε, όχι ακριβώς. Όπως σου είπα άρχισε να βρέχει και λέω “πρέπει να πάρω το αυτοκίνητο για να μην γίνω μούσκεμα” και πήρα... το αυτοκίνητο και... / emm not exactly. Like I said it started raining and I said: “I have to get the car so I don’t get wet” and I got ... the car and...
D: Το αυτοκίνητο ΜΟΥ; Πήρες το αυτοκίνητό μου; / MY CAR? Did you take my car?
E: Εεε εγώ δεν έχω όπως ξέρεις. / emm I don’t have one as you know!
D: Γιώργο! Τι έγινε; Τι έκανες; Χτύπησες κανέναν άνθρωπο; Έπαθες κάτι εσύ; / George! What happened? What did you do? Did you hit anyone? Did anything happen to you?
E: Εντάξει είμαι... ένα μικρό ατύχημα είχα. Γλίστρησε το αυτοκίνητο και έπεσε πάνω σε μία στάση λεωφορείου αλλά ευτυχώς δεν υπήρχαν άνθρωποι και... ήρθε η τροχαία και δεν είχα δίπλωμα και τώρα είμαι εδώ.. / I am ok...I had a small accident.. The car slipped and it hit a bus station but thankfully nobody was there and... the traffic police came and I didn’t have my license and now I am here..
D: Γιώργο, ένα λεπτό. Το αυτοκίνητο που είναι; / George! One second. Where is the car now?
E: Στην στάση... ή μάλλον μέσα στη στάση! / at the bus station...or better inside the bus station!
D: Έρχομαι. Περίμενε με. Και.. Θα τα πούμε από κοντά. / I am coming. Wait for me. And... I will see you in person.

D: Πώς ήταν η βάφτιση του Αχιλλέα; / How was Achilleas’ baptism?
E: Αχ, πάρα πολύ ωραία! Περάσαμε τέλεια! / Ah it was amazing! We had a lot of fun.
D: Στολίσατε την εκκλησία και την κολυμπήθρα; / Did you decorate the church and the baptistery?
E: Δεν στολίσαμε την εκκλησία, ούτε την κολυμπήθρα γιατί δεν μας άφησαν. Στολίσαμε όμως το εξοχικό μας που έγινε το πάρτυ μετά την βάφτιση. / No we didn’t decorate the church, neither the baptistery because they didn’t let us. We decorated our beach house though where we had the party after the baptism.
D: Ο Αχιλλέας πώς ήτανε; Έκλαψε καθόλου; / How was Achilleas? Did he cry at all?
E: Άσε, έκανε πολλή ζέστη και ήταν γκρινιάρης. Όταν βγάλαμε τα ρούχα και οι νονές βάλανε το λάδι ήταν ήρεμος. Αλλά μόλις ο παπάς τον έβαλε στο νερό άρχισε να κλαίει πολύ. Μετά του έκοψε τα μαλλιά και φόρεσε τα βαφτιστικά του. Του έδωσα και ένα μπισκοτάκι και ηρέμισε. / It was extremely hot and he was fussy. When we took his clothes off and his godmathers put the oil on him, he was calm. But when the priest put him in the water he started crying a lot. After that we gave him a cookie and he was calm.
D: Αχ ψυχή μου! Πως περάσατε στο πάρτυ; / Aww my heart! How was the party?
E: Περάσαμε αξέχαστα. Είχαμε μπομπονιέρες και σαμπάνια στην είσοδο για τους καλεσμένους. Είχαμε πολύ φαγητό, σουβλάκια, μπριζόλες, κοτόπουλο ψητό, σαλάτες και πατάτες. / We had a great time. We had the baptism favors and some campaign in the entrance for our friends. We had a lot of food, souvlakia, steak, chichen, salads and potatoes.
D: Πω πω ακούγονται νόστιμα. / Po po they sound delicious.
E: Ήταν όλα πεντανόστιμα. Είχαμε και δύο φωτογράφους και βγάλαμε πολλές φωτογραφίες. Ο Αχιλλέας όμως ήταν πολύ κουρασμένος και πήγε για ύπνο νωρίς. Μετά εμείς ξεκινήσαμε τον χορό και τα κοκτέιλ. / Everything was delicious. We had two photographers and we took a lot of pictures. But Achilleas was very tired and he went to bed early. After that we started dancing and drinking cocktails.
D: Φαντάζομαι και πολύ καλά κάνατε. Ο μικρός είμαι σίγουρη ότι ήταν πολύ κουρασμένος. Τώρα θα αρχίσω να ετοιμάζω και εγώ την βάφτιση της μικρής μας. / I can imagine and you did the right thing. I am sure that the little one was very tired. I have to start planning my daughter’s baptism as well.
E: Ναι να ξεκινήσεις νωρίς! / Yes, you need to get started soon.

E: Γεια σας κυρία Δανάη! Τι θέλετε να πάρετε σήμερα; Έχω πολλά φρέσκα λαχανικά και πολύ νόστιμα φρούτα./ Hello, Mrs. Danae! What would you like to get today? I have a lot of fresh vegetables and very tasty fruits.
D: Πρώτα πρώτα θέλω μελιτζάνες για μουσακά. Έχεις; / First of all, I want eggplants for moussaka. Do you have any?
E: Έχω έχω και πολύ φρέσκιες. Πόσες μελιτζάνες θέλετε; / Yes, I have plenty of fresh ones. How many eggplants would you like?
D: Τέσσερις μελιτζάνες παρακαλώ. Πόσο κάνουν οι ντομάτες; Είναι ακριβές; / Four eggplants, please. How much are the tomatoes? Are they expensive?
E: Όχι, κυρία Δανάη μου, φτηνές είναι. Ένα ευρώ και πενήντα λεπτά το κιλό.Τσάμπα! / No, Mrs. Danae, they're cheap. They're one euro and fifty cents per kilo. Very affordable!
D: Ωραία! Θέλω ένα κιλό ντομάτες, σκληρές όμως για σαλάτα. Θέλω ακόμη τρία κιλά πατάτες, μισό κιλό καρότα κι ένα κιλό λεμόνια. Έχεις και σκόρδα για τις φακές μου; / Great! I want a kilo of tomatoes, but firm ones for salad. I also want three kilos of potatoes, half a kilo of carrots, and a kilo of lemons. Do you have garlic for my lentils?
E: Βεβαίως! Φρούτα δε θέλετε σήμερα; / Of course! Don't you want any fruit today?
D: Θέλω και φρούτα. Ζυγίζεις αυτό το καρπούζι, Νεκταρία μου;/ I want fruit too. Can you weigh this watermelon for me, Nektaria?
E: Είναι τέσσερα τα κιλά και 200 γραμμάρια. / It's four kilograms and 200 grams.
D: Πόσο έχει το κιλό; / How much per kilo?
E: Έχει ένα ευρώ και εξήντα λεπτά. Κάτι άλλο, κυρία Δανάη; / It's one euro and sixty cents. Anything else, Mrs. Danae?
D: Ναι, θέλω ακόμα δύο κιλά πορτοκάλια για φρέσκο χυμό και ένα κιλό ροδάκινα./ Yes, I also want two kilos of oranges for fresh juice and a kilo of peaches.
E: Ωραία! Κάτι άλλο; / Alright! Anything else?
D: Όχι, τίποτα άλλο. Αυτά για σήμερα, Νεκταρία μου. Πόσο κάνουν; / No, nothing else. That's all for today, Nektaria. How much is it?
E: Είκοσι ένα ευρώ και τριάντα λεπτά. Μήπως έχετε ψηλά; / Twenty-one euros and thirty cents. Do you have any change?
D: Δυστυχώς δεν έχω. / Unfortunately, I don't.
E: Δεν πειράζει. Ορίστε τα ρέστα σας και η απόδειξή σας. / That's alright. Here's your change and your receipt.
