Episode 156 | On Mission to Outlast: An Interview with Brian Mosley
04/26/22 • 43 min
With each new season, the majority of new opportunities will not necessarily be a bad thing but are they always the best thing? When building and leading an organization to last throughout the generations, clear and consistent communication of your “why” and your “what” will empower your teams to “decide into something rather than slide into something” when it comes to the ever-changing “how”.
In this week's episode, Jenni has a conversation with Brian Mosley, President of RightNow Media. RightNow Media’s mission is to work with the global church to inspire people to love others before self and Christ above all. From creating video content, to RightNow Media @Work and events through online streaming, they exist to help people realize their God-given purpose of serving and loving others in a world that’s primarily concerned with selfish pursuits.
Maintaining a clear focus of the mission and values of your organization will enable healthy and consistent growth as you are better able to filter opportunities through the lens of who your organization serves and why it's important.

Episode 155 | Strategies to Sustain Culture in a Post Pandemic Workplace: An Interview with Kelly Skiles
While most of us worked in proximity, in highly relational cultures, the pandemic truly only accelerated the expectations of flexibility that were already in motion. As our means and tools for accomplishing tasks and meeting goals were changing, so too was the definition of “the workplace”. However, one thing’s for sure, in 2020 we were all forced to accelerate and adapt quickly. We were forced to forge new ways, developing new systems and strategies, but we have also been forced to manage some very real tensions: expectations, accountability, communication, protecting culture and healthy team dynamics.
In this week's episode, Jenni continues the conversation about creating clarity and consistency within hybrid cultures in an interview with Kelly Skiles, XP at Soul City Church in Chicago. Kelly spends the majority of her time developing leaders, building team culture and focusing on strategy. She has worked both in ministry and in the non profit space for nearly 20 years where she has enjoyed coaching and leading dozens of teams through strategic processes to help them reach clarity and achieve their goals. She has been married to her husband Mark for 18 years and has 3 kids and loves spending her free time cheering on the Chicago Bulls.
In the past, proximity helped to create accountability, but now that we’ve moved to cultures of flexibility, necessary feedback has naturally become less frequent. With less interaction we are then required to be more mindful and intentional about the various communication styles of those on our teams. As a leader, there is no one-size fits all approach. However, as leaders we must ask ourselves the important question - How do I need to adjust or shift in order to help create a culture that people want to be a part of and that they can contribute and do their best work?
For a next step, we encourage you to connect with one of our trained and experienced 4Sight Group: Leadership Coaches. Our aim is to equip you to lead through the overload that changes in organizational culture can bring. We have a proven track record of setting clients up for success as they transform their teams from disengaged to thriving, from divided to collaborative, and from toxic to trusting. We also want to help equip you to discover the various styles of communication that are represented on your team along with their working genius’, competencies and frustrations so that you can better achieve your mission together.

Episode 157 | “What’s Here Now?” A Practice of Presence: An Interview with Jeanne Stevens
When it comes to creating cultures of psychological safety - building both trust and belonging - how can we better lead from a place of emotional and relational intelligence that will enable both ourselves and our teams to show up more fully?
In this week's episode, Jenni has a conversation with Jeanne Stevens, Founder and Co- Lead Pastor of Soul City Church in Chicago, IL. - one of America's fastest growing urban churches. Prior to starting Soul City Church, Stevens was on the pastoral staff at Willow Creek Community Church and North Point Community Church. A sought-after speaker, leader, and writer, Jeanne's passion is to help people wake up to their purpose as they pursue a life of wholehearted freedom.
We were created to be “human beings” not “human doings”. But how do we as leaders manage the very real tensions between rehashing the past, rehearsing the future, all while learning to lead from a place of presence that postures us to lead with both a peace and a power that ultimately challenges those around us to do the same? Because we can reflect and we can plan but that will not happen without intentional space created in the present.
