Prior to that, he was Director - Europe, Middle East, Africa, Canada & Latin America for Misonix, a US company that specializes in the development and commercialization of ultrasonic surgical devices for neurosurgical, spinal, advanced wound care, and general surgery procedures. Prior to that, he was Region Director, General Manager - Latin America for Smith & Nephew where he managed an $80M P&L and 200 direct employees. Michael was also the Region Director - LatAm for Johnson & Johnson, and Director for Spinal & Guided Surgery - LatAm for Medtronic.
Michael has expertise in different areas of the medical device business in Latin America including regulatory, clinical research, financial, legal, compliance, and human resources. Throughout his years of experience, Michael has accumulated a broad network of surgeons, researchers, administrators, trade organizations and in-country specialists that he can quickly leverage to execute cost-effective go-to-market strategies in Latin America.
