Sherry Somerville lost her mother to cancer when Sherry was 30 years old. She was 62 when her sister, who was also her best friend, died of cancer. Sherry walked with her sister through the illness, supporting her in deep and touching ways. She is sharing with us how God has given her the gift she asked for, and the strength she needed to support her sister. She shares how she received the gifts from both these painful times. Sherry’s gift to us lies in her deep faith in God. She shares how a devastating illness like cancer can also be a gift when we invite God into all our life circumstances! Sherry is the president of the Mary Lou Fraser Foundation for families, named after her mom, Mary Lou Fraser. It had been a dream of both her parents to build a counseling center.
