Amanda’s journey with marijuana evolved from recreationally smoking it to using it as a way to cope with anxiety and eventually led to her not being able to go a day without it. Why did you start this show?

I fell in love with podcasts while working and driving an hour each way to my 9-5 ( still do) I'm a life long learner and loved hearing others people stories as I know we all have them. Right before I was turning 60 ( almost 3 years ago) I started saying I have some things to say, and I want to start a podcast - after my kids got tired of me talking about but taking no action, a course appeared in my Facebook feed (thank you Podcast Accelator) and I signed up. 135 epsiodes later!!!

What do you hope listeners gain from listening to your show?

My hope each week is for the right person who needs to hear what my guests are talking about - that it resonates with them...validating their feelings or giving them hope becasue everything is possible

How did you come up with the name for your podcast?

I was in the middle of a melt down as my original name was taken after doing a late search...so once the tears stopped I asked my myself what do I want to tell them, Joy came up right away then eventually as I wirting random words, Joy Found Here appeared on the page and I knew that would be the one

Beach and sunset loving mama bear of 3 amazing adults, "Lovey" to a beautiful grandson, wife of 40 years to a guy who still makes me laugh every day. I'm a lover of life and laughing. I'm a firm believer that we all need grace and treat ourselves kinder. Always remember to celebrate the win and look for the rainbow after the rain. I'm a good friend and a very good listener, ready to share all the lessons I have learned so far. Always looking forward to making new connections
