Job Hunter Podcast - Officiating Edition
12/30/20 • 41 min
Hello and welcome to another episode of the Job Hunter Podcast with me Tim French.
Professional sports is a truly global industry, as we heard last week to some it is a religion. But have you cannot have a game of football or a tennis match without some form of referee. This week I wanted to find out what it takes to become one of the best - so i asked a couple of professionals from my favourite sport, baseball to explain the process.
Thanks to Jonathan and Ben for giving me their time on a busy tuesday night. I for one found it fascinating to find out more about a side of the sport many don’t consider. It goes to show that anyone regardless of their background can get involved in professional sport, whether that’s football, tennis or indeed baseball in Jonathan’s case.
If you are interested in finding out more about baseball officiating check out wendelstadt umpire school online or check out our facebook group where i’ll post some of the links.
If you have been enjoying the series so far, why not consider subscribing to keep up to date when the latest episode drops. It’s only a teeny tiny button for you but it makes a huge difference to me.

Job Hunter Podcast - Professional Football Edition
On today’s episode we will be discussing some of the lesser known aspects of professional football. Mainly what goes on behind the scenes to ensure you know when your season ticket is released, what the club’s new kit is going to look like or which players to keep an eye on.
Huge thanks to Ed Barber from Queen's Park Rangers Football Club for sitting down with me and giving a really interesting perspective into all the action behind the scenes at Queen’s Park Rangers. Here’s hoping that the fans will be singing from the stands in a jam packed stadium in the not too distant future and just maybe the R’s will see a return to form.
I could really use your help and it takes only a little bit of your time. All you need to do is press that big shiny subscribe button! If you fancy it write a review about what you’ve enjoyed and what you think needs changing - I love the feedback and I read all of them.
