Australia has been ravaged by the worst wildfires in decades with large swathes of the country devastated since July 2019. Twenty seven people have died nationwide, and in New South Wales alone, more than 2000 homes have been destroyed or damaged. Australian authorities have struggled to contain the massive fires.
