The African Podcast and Voice Awards (APVA) 2023 is now accepting nominations for individuals and organizations contributing to the African audio industry. The 6th season of "The Young God" podcast has premiered with two highly acclaimed episodes. Journalist Aisha Salaudeen advocates for the growth of podcasts and their inclusion as legitimate forms of media alongside traditional formats. Kwaito legend DJ Cleo has launched his own podcast channel in South Africa, joining a growing list of celebrities with their own podcasts. According to a Reddit thread, podcast creators can expand their audience by cross-promotion with other creators, investing in ads, focusing on search engine optimisation, and creating high-quality content. AutoPod, a new software designed for podcast editing, automatically cuts through podcasts, making the editing process faster and easier.
