John Cusimano Lead Singer of 'Fastest Land Animal' Punk Pop's Newest Sensation!
05/05/23 • 39 min
Hello everyone and welcome to another edition of Interviewing the Legends I’m your host Ray Shasho.
With distortion cranked, synths warm, and no regard for the rules, Fastest Land Animal tap into the eternal power of three equally committed (and possibly crazed) kindred spirits. In this case, the trio— Screamin’ Jack Novak aka John Cusimano, Alfonse Castillo [guitar, bass] aka Jonny Blaze and Shark Samuels [drums] aka Andrew Meskin crash land (at full speed) into the intersection of glorious gutter punk, revved-up rock ‘n’ roll, and off-kilter pop. This slick, yet sharp style continues to captivate a growing fan base with nearly 10 million YouTube views and counting and acclaim from the likes of RIFF Magazine and more.
However, they only amplify every aspect of their vision on their 2023 second full-length LP, East Coast, West Coast, In between.
As the story goes, these old friends logged time in previous bands, performing alongside everyone from Motley Crüe to Alice Cooper. However, the musicians bared their teeth with their self-titled debut, Fastest Land Animal, in 2021. They rallied around influences as diverse as The Velvet Underground, David Bowie, Foo Fighters, Queens Of The Stone Age, Rage Against The Machine, and The Ramones in the cultivation of a singular vision. They parlayed this momentum into a prolific creative season despite the distance between them with Jack in New York, Alfonse in Arizona, and Shark in Texas. Beaming in Los Angeles-based producer Don Gilmore the group tracked East Coast, West Coast, In Between via ZOOM. This time around, they increased the presence of analog synths, leaned on Gilmore’s impeccable tone selection, and even broke their own “no songs slower than 150BPM” rule.
Please welcome singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist formerly of New York based Indie- rock group The Cringe who is also married to American chef and Television personality Rachel Ray ...Screamin’ Jack Novak aka John Cusimano of Fastest Land Animal who was born of a Jackal raised by his father, a nanny and two irascible rottweilers.

Filmmaker David Minasian Champions Progressive Rock Legends to The Mainstream!
Hello everyone and welcome to another edition of Interviewing the Legends I’m your host Ray Shasho.
David Minasian can best be described as a Renaissance man of sorts with experience and interest in a number of fields including film, music, and literature. David began classical piano training at the age of five and by the age of 11 was making films. After graduating with honors with a degree in television and film, David began working freelance for various production companies in and around the Los Angeles area as a producer, director, writer, editor, cinematographer, and composer, while simultaneously recording albums of his own music. David has directed music and concert videos for artists such as Three Dog Night, Camel, and a PBS television special for legendary singer/guitarist/composer Justin Hayward of The Moody Blues.
“I Won't Be Led Astray” is the 2nd single off the latest studio album From The New World by the legendary producer, composer, musician and engineer Alan Parsons. The track, written by David Minasian and Alan, along with Kim Bullard of the Elton John band, features Parsons alumni David Pack of Ambrosia fame on lead vocals together with blues icon Joe Bonamassa on lead guitar. The music video stars Sofia Olsson, daughter of Alan Parsons' lead singer PJ Olsson and was directed and produced by Trinity Houston and David Minasian for IM3 Global Entertainment and Frontiers Records. Reactions to the emotive song and video so far have been overwhelming...

Ray Alder Legendary Singer with Progressive Metal ‘Fates Warning’ Exclusive Interview!
Hello everyone and welcome to another edition of Interviewing the Legends I’m your host Ray Shasho
RAY ALDER is the lead vocalist of the progressive metal band Fates Warning since their 1988 release No Exit.
He has released two albums Engine in 1999 and Superholic in 2002 with Engine.
He also sang on Redemption's albums The Origins of Ruin, The Fullness of Time, Snowfall on Judgment Day, This Mortal Coil, and The Art of Loss, having produced their debut self-titled release in 2002.
Ray Alder’s second solo release is simply entitled “II”, but in musical terms this is a much more revealing, exploratory piece of work than its predecessor.
Alder states ...This album is more of a reflection of what I heard going forward as a solo artist. Longer songs, deeper lyrics and really pushing myself vocally. I hope that whoever listens to it enjoys it as much as I did while working on it...”
