We welcome Erik Engstrand and Kristofer Strandberg from the Swedish metalcore outfit, Eyes Wide Open. Their highly-anticipated 5th album “Through Life And Death” just dropped, but not without the growth, experience, and dedication to their artistry over the years. They have been around for over a decade within the grounds of Sweden and the rest of Europe, establishing themselves as one of the more promising metal acts to come out of Scandinavia. Erik and Kristofer talk about how it can get a bit unorthodox trying to emulate other well-known native bands such as In Flames, Dark Tranquillity, and At The Gates – but they also talk about how they created their own distinct sound which make Eyes Wide Open stand out from this convoluted Swedish heavy metal crowd of bands.
