Resting is Necessary
Over the last few weeks, I've found myself reminding others (and really, myself) that rest is indeed necessary to sustain our work. But what makes rest truly revolutionary? And does that revolutionary status change depending on who is resting? I'll talk about all that, and more, in this episode.
As mentioned, check out these readings to learn a bit more from those who have inspired me, including The Nap Ministry and Audre Lorde.
And this incredible read from Refinery29 writer Kathleen Newman-Bremang, which also helped inspire the thoughts I shared here.
+ a quick note for after the episode -
I want to clarify that action can also be done in the form of active passive resistance, which from an outside view, can also look like rest. These tactics are incredibly powerful, especially within BIPOC and Black communities whose bodies have been commodified for centuries, and shouldn't be discounted.

The Reality of Building A Following
In the last year, my TikTok went from less than 5000 followers to over 22k, but that number isn't necessarily the best gauge for understanding my community (or anyones for that matter).
In this episode I dig into the truth behind my follower count, what it means to be the human behind a larger account, and what folks should consider if they want to dive into the world of content creation if your follower count isn't everything we've hyped it up to be.
Plus, I'll share a few takeaways from the 'Womblands', you won't hear these thoughts from me anywhere else - because that's a HOT mess I don't want to touch elsewhere.
As always, check out my TikTok if you want to join the other 22k weirdos who find me engaging. (JK Love you) AND I officially hit 500 followers on IG so that's a nice rounded number - don't mess it up.
