Kip Adams is NDA’s Chief Conservation Officer and has been with the organization for more than 20 years starting in August 2002. Prior to joining NDA he served as a Wildlife Biologist for the Florida Game and Fish Commission and as Deer and Bear Project Leader for the New Hampshire Game and Fish Department. He earned his bachelor’s in wildlife and Fisheries Science from Penn State University and his master’s in wildlife from the University of New Hampshire. He is a certified wildlife biologist and licensed taxidermist.
We talk to Kip specifically about deer anatomy, the most lethal shots with a gun, with a bow, where you should shoot, where you shouldn't shoot. The effectiveness of different broadheads, heavy vs light arrows. We discussion of the causes of antler deformities, the factors that impact antler color and we even talk in detail about what some people refer to as “no man's land”. Kip is a wealth of knowledge and provided some great information that will make you more successful this fall.
