If These Walls Could Talk

For Episode 10, we make the journey to West London; Chelsea to be precise. Where we are delving into the storied history of one of London's finest, busiest and longest running jazz clubs. A venue that has championed and showcased British-based artists to thrive and develop and ploughed its own furrow for nearly 50 years in an ever changing cultural, social, political and economic climate. Ladies and gentleman: it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the 606 Club.

And to help tell this story, we are joined by the man who has been at the helm of the 606 for longer then he cares to remember! We are privileged to wax lyrical with the 6's owner, propertier and in-house flute player - Mr Steve Rubie.

Hosted by Jeremy Newton, produced by Greg Moore.

9. KOKO

Join us for Episode 9 of If These Walls could Talk as we delve into a legendary London space that is steeped in folklore. A building that has played host to some of music's and beyonds biggest icons from Charlie Chaplin to Prince. A spiritual home for countless legendary London scenes be it Punk, The New Romantics or Garage. A building that conjures up memories for so many (including myself) and since 2004, in its current incarnation, one of The UK's most forward thinking, eclectic and still full independent music venues - ladies & gentleman: welcome to KOKO.

And to help tell this story we are very lucky to be joined by KOKO'S owner Olly Benghough and its Head of Music Mr Nick Lewis.

11. Union Chapel

For our latest episode, we are taking you to church (quite literally) as we make our first trip to Islington. Here, we will delve into the storied history of a space that is not only a world class music venue that's played host to the likes of Elton John, Björk, Amy Winehouse, Mavis Staples, Nick Cave, Tom Jones, Paul Weller and Philip Glass (to name but a few!) but more importantly - an organization, a philosophy, a congregation that champions an alternative, inclusive & humane gospel. A social justice and arts charity and a venue that has community at its core.

Ladies and gentleman - it gives us tremendous pleasure to welcome you to the Union Chapel.

And to help tell this story, we were very lucky to be joined by Head Of Programming Brett Pracownik, Marketing Manager Beth Sinden and George Allan (Trustee of Friends Of The Union Chapel).

Hosted by Jeremy Newton, produced by Greg Moore.
