Hot Girl's Theory - House of Horrors: Friendship Break-Up From Hell
play

02/02/23 • 112 min

This week we are getting vulnerable and listening to a tale that proves the ol' saying of a friendship break-up hits you more than any boy could. In this deep episode, Ash shares a tale of her experience going through a friendship break-up that led to trauma that evolved into self-discovery of the bad bitch she is today. This episode covers emotional abuse, calling out toxic behaviours and what is needed to heal along the way.
It is important to note that this episode is intended to be a part of a healing process and something to be shared in order for others to use in their own healing journey when dealing with friendship breakdowns. Like the Ex-Files series, anonymity for those involved is respected and these conversations are for reflection and healing purposes only.

This week Ash & Indi are giving you their hot take on what's been happening on the planet lately. After speaking on the murder of Tyre Nichols by four black cops proving the systematic issue of policing is much deeper than thought for many, the hot girls speak on the further unethical implications of Beyonce performing in Dubai, especially regarding the mistreatment of the black and queer population in the country, as well as the enslavement of migrant workers. The girls also share their thoughts on the call for Tinder to enact police to deal with reporting sexual harassment, calling into question if the system that has failed us before will actually do anything to help protect not only women but more marginalised communities also.

Hot Girl's Theory - The Complexity Of The Birds And The Bees
play

10/01/20 • 83 min

There seems to be a moral panic at the intersection of kids and sex. Adults are often discussing what is and isn't the best method to keep them safe in a society that is plagued by the sexualisation of children in the media. This episode Ash and Indi are on deck to explore the formation of childhood innocence and how this is often eroticised, the need for better sex education and their own experiences portraying their sexuality from a young age and being on the receiving end of being sexualised by adults who are meant to keep them safe. It is important to note that there is a trigger warning for this episode, as we will be discussing paedophilia and sexual assault.

From people who lurk on Tinder to allegedly catch out cheaters to asking if it's okay to force two drunk girls to walk home alone because they were being drunk and annoying, Ash (@ashleighxorose) & Indi (@fueledbyindi) don't keep their opinions to themselves as they find the verdict.
In an extra layer of juicy, The Hot Girls question if it's morally okay to not tell your partner that you were/was a sex worker, as well asking why must one be ashamed to be referred to as a sugar baby for enjoying the gifts and cashola from an older man? This week, Ash and Indi go PSYCH on you for today’s new episode as they explore the plague of the Madonna Whore Complex! As conceptualised by fuckboy Sigmund Freud, women are often sorted into two categories: good and bad, the loved and desired or pure and the tainted. Why? It’s all about fears of female sexuality, of course! The girls breakdown his theory and talk about its presence in terms like ‘wife material’, movies, pop culture and some famous cases. They open up and discuss how they are pitted against each other with Ash seen as an angel and whilst Indi is a sinner... but they both be freaky though As always, Ash & Indi finish by going deep and reflecting on how the complex has effected them and get real about the reality of dating whilst having such an open and sexual podcast that intimidates their partners.

Hot Girl's Theory - From DUFF to Hot Girl | Identity Part 1
play

09/11/20 • 63 min

Step one to being a Hot Girl is to always be self-reflective and hold a mirror up to ourselves in order to do so... even if it’s hard to do sometimes! In part one of this two part episode, Ash and Indi go deep to navigate their identities, both from their perspectives and others around them, and insecurities, that (unsuccessfully) were made to break them.
From Paris Hilton and celebrity culture shaping her identity as a child, to having to live up to the expectations of two conflicting parents, Ash lays herself bare in how she found who she was for the first time at 21. She even reflects on her insecurities and shares what it’s like to be bullied for things that are now on trend.

Hot Girl's Theory - Motherhood: Stop Asking Us Why We Don't Want Kids
play

05/12/21 • 69 min

MOTHERHOOD: STOP ASKING WHY WE DON’T WANT CHILDREN | Ash & Indi are SICK of getting asked when they having kids and having to deal with the backlash of saying Never! Perhaps one of the most controversial episodes, the girls get deep when it comes to what puts them off the idea of being mothers... besides Ash’s love for the MILF aesthetic
From fearing losing their identity to the effects of their own childhood seeping into their fears of having children, this is not an attack on those who long for family life, however answering why young women are pulling the plug on becoming society’s peak of femininity: becoming a mother.
