- What is your favorite part of the week of Thanksgiving? What are you most thankful for at this time in your life?
- Without being specific, can you describe men you know who are self-willed/self-centered? How do these men affect you and others they associate with closely? If others were asked this question about you, how might they answer?
- What is one part of your life in which you tend to be selfish/self-centered/self-willed? What turmoil or destruction happens when your selfish tendencies show up?
- Read Philippians 2:1-4. What principals does Paul present that can help with our self-centeredness? If we specifically apply those principals to our struggles in Question 3, how could it help?
- Read 1 Corinthians 13:1-7. Verses 1-3 tell of great things being accomplished, but with self-centeredness. Come up with some present-day examples of this. Now look over verses 4-7, discuss how each “Love is...” counters selfishness. What is one step you will take to move away from selfishness this week?
