Bio: A homeschooling mom of five, Lynne Drozdik Wardach has found a way to share the practical nuances of Eastern Christian family life through the features of her blog and website, ByziMom.com. Having served as a catechist for over 30 years and as a mom for 25, she shares her collection of lesson plans, activities, games, craft, and recipes for bringing the faith to life for Eastern Christian Children and reflects on the spiritual as well as the practical aspects of life as a Byzantine mom. She is the author of The Jesse Tree, and The Zacchaeus Tree and the creator of the ByziMom Daily Planner. She is also the creator and executive editor of ByziKids Magazine, a new, fun, family resource for educating Eastern Christian children in the faith. After a family health crisis, she and her husband were medically advised to adopt a whole-food, plant-based, oil-free diet which meant Eastern Christian fasting as a full-time lifestyle. She shares the tips, hacks, and recipes she’s learned along the way and offers support on the Great Fast Meals page at ByziMom.com.

Today Cynthia features an interview with Father Josiah Trenham on the topic of our emotions and feelings. Recent events in our world and country have affected all of us. How do we regard our feelings right now which can be all over the board? Do we need to be concerned about them being sinful? Fr. Josiah gives us great insight.
A native Southern Californian, Father Josiah attended Westminster Seminary California, receiving his M.Div. in 1992 while studying under some of the most influential teachers in the Reformed tradition. In 1993, he was ordained to the Holy Priesthood of the Orthodox Church and in 2004 he was awarded a Ph.D. in Theology from the University of Durham, England. Father Josiah has served as pastor of St. Andrew Orthodox Church in Riverside, California, since 1998. He is an Adjunct Professor of Theology at St. Katherine College in San Marcos, California (2010 – present), and was an Adjunct Professor at California Baptist University (2003-2010). Father Josiah has published numerous articles and two books and is also the founder of Patristic Nectar Publications, a non-profit ministry. His weekly homilies are available on his podcast, The Arena, produced by Ancient Faith Radio.
