Heavy Metal Philosophy
I finally got my copy of the 20th Anniversary Vinyl Edition of Opeth's BlackWater Park. I reflect on how that album changed my life forever, and how I had no choice in the matter. Then I tell two stories about two very different men with similar circumstances, but vastly different reputations. Then I show how their respective reputations effected how lucky they became.

#016: The Best Week in Metal

I wanted to switch up the format a little bit this week. The show has been heavy on the philosophy and light on the metal so far. This week happened to be an eventful week in metal. We talk about all the new music and discoveries, plus my appreciation for metal twitter.

#018: The Philosophy and Ethics of Hunting with guest Dr. Gray Barbas

Dr. Gray Barbas (my brother) came to visit me in the cabin in the woods. We sat down to talk about why we like to hunt, and what our philosophical and ethical opinions on the activity are. We talk about how when we were kids growing up I hated hunting and what changed my mind about it. And of course we talk a bit about our love of heavy metal!
