Have you ever noticed that every time you eat a certain food you get symptoms? If so you may be suffering from food Sensitivities. Recent research showed 1 in 5 Australians suffer from one or more food sensitivities and that sensitivities, as apposed to true allergies, can take up to 7 days to cause a reaction, which can make it tricky to accurately identify which foods are causing your symptoms.
Food sensitivities can cause a wide range of problems including gut symptoms of bloating, pain, diarrhea or constipation as well as skin conditions - eczema, dermatitis, rashes, acne and fatigue, headaches, mood changes, lowered concentration, forgetfulness, brain fog, inflammation, muscle and joint pain and much more!
In this episode Angela covers what causes food intolerances, how we can test for and treat them effectively to improve our health and quality of life.
Angela explores the link between leaky gut and food intolerances, how the immune begins to react to cause the symptoms we experience, how we can use IgG pin prick blood tests to clearly identify the exact foods that we are reacting too and her program for removing those trigger foods and healing the gut so we may be able to eventually reintroduce them into the diet without symptoms.

Food IgG Intolerance Testing Options:
- Food Detective Test - tests for 59 different foods that are common causes of food intolerances such as: wheat, gluten, yeast, other grains, dairy, soy, egg, fish, shellfish and many more. Results come back in 45 mins and this is such an easy pin prick blood test you can even do it yourself at home!
- Food Intolerance Testing through a Laboratory - this requires a referral form from your naturopath, you go to a blood collection center for a venous blood draw and then thats sent away with results coming back in a few days to a week. You can choose with your naturopath different 'food or chemical panels' that you may want to test for if you want to dig deeper then just the most common foods that trigger intolerances. This one is useful for testing kids for additives, colourings and chemicals that could be affecting behavior etc.
