We've seen all this before.

Oklahoma State gets off to a hot start, rises up the College Football Rankings, and gets itself into position to make a run at a conference title, or even to breathe the air of cross-state Big Brother Oklahoma.

These opportunities, under Mike Gundy, always end in a thud, just like in Fort Worth last Saturday, when that 24-7 was erased by the end of regulation, and the Cowboys went on to lose in Overtime.
Now, this week's tilt with Texas means even more, because the loser of the game will no longer hold their own Big 12 Title Game destiny in their own hands. Texas has had problems of its own for quite some time, but this Longhorns team appears to be different, especially with Quinn Ewers at Quarterback.

And though most would most certainly assign the Longhorns a "Show Me" sticker right alongside the Cowboys, their blowout win over Oklahoma would say this is -- at worst -- a dangerous opponent standing in Oklahoma State's way.
