Guy from Gynec - PMS- Ovary-acting is an emotion
play

02/22/22 • 9 min

Everyone with a uterus is probably somewhat familiar with premenstrual syndrome (PMS). For some women, it is a minor irritation but for others, it's downright debilitating. Your uterus tries to punch you to death as you deal with bloating as well as tackle the emotional ups and downs. Severe PMS, also called PMDD (premenstrual dysphoria disorder) affects your routine and daily life, and requires a more in-depth treatment approach with the guidance of a gynecologist.

In this episode of Guy from Gynec, Dr Ash addresses this important unspoken but accepted issue of every uterus owner, as he stresses more on PMDD and its management, in the process of trying to raise awareness to treat every woman in that phase with at least a modicum of respect and understanding.

Guy from Gynec - PRIDE- Health beyond gender
play

06/30/23 • 11 min

Today I talk about the health issues faced by the LGBTQIA+ community during the much-talked-about Pride month. Society still is based on natal gender and is yet to consider that gender is what the individual identifies as. Often ignored and mostly disregarded, the LGBTQIA+ community also needs basic, essential, and specific healthcare. There needs to be an understanding of the health needs and to improve delivery and access to competent healthcare for physical, emotional, and mental well-being, irrespective of sexual/ gender identity.

Guy from Gynec - Women's Day- Why am I here?
play

03/08/23 • 10 min

Today, I am sharing with you the idea behind this podcast and my thoughts on Women's day.

Even with decades of notable progress and significant gains on the international forum, women and vulva owners—both in India and around the world— still find gender equality elusive. Women exercising or even seeking their basic rights is interpreted as a direct and destabilizing challenge to existing power structures. Regardless of a woman’s education or abilities or experience, the patriarchal nature fosters the perception that women are less competent and less qualified than men. Honestly, it is not possible to name just one challenge, one issue, or one forgotten right, but it becomes necessary for me, as a Gynec, and for you too, to reflect on it, speak about it, and make a change one at a time.
