Achingly beautiful words by Walter Scott from 1806
Gretel Pod-Ponders Life and Loss with Bede and other guests12/18/24 • 10 min
Dear kind folk. I awoke to hear of my mother taking a poorly turn so I dashed to London, sans Bede and sans (😬) change of clothes.. BUT Sir Walter Scott sidled up to me and whispered again a poem of hillocks, trees, leaves and glen. So stop with me a while, and hear his words, and rest your guile.
Thank you for joining me 🌷
ERROR: I say he wrote Marmion December 1806 but it was November. Apologies.
Love Gretel 🌝
