The summit was game changer as it created the basis for a formal strategic partnership between Israel the UAE Egypt Bahrain and Morocco. During President Biden's visit to Israel, the Saudi foreign minister announced that access to Saudi Airspace would be open to all airlines including Israel.
The agreement opening Saudi Air space to all Israeli airliners and the looming deal on enabling direct flight between Israel and Saudi Arabia for Israeli Muslims pilgrimage to the Hajj is indeed a game changer in the region.
Israel is now becoming more integrated into the region President Biden and their team is working on a road map to set up a process of normalization of relations between Saud Arabia and Israel.
Saudi Arabia is unlikely to join the Abraham accords countries and establish full diplomatic relations with Israel.
Nevertheless, the fact that the Saudis have agreed to grant overflights rights to all Israeli airlines and the looming agreement to allow Israeli citizens of the Muslim faith to fly directly to Saudi Arabia for the Hajj pilgrimage is clear evidence that Saudi Arabia and Israel are the startling gradual process of normalization of ties.
