Hey ho! It's been 84 years, but we're finally back with the second half of this ridiculous 8 part saga! In this fifth chapter of the #HistoricalNightcap, we dive into year 1822 where Anne not only spent a great deal of time with and thinking about Mariana, but also with our favorite Georgian era drinker, Isabella Norcliffe. Love is complicated, and nothing about that changes in the year 1822. We also cover Anne visiting the Ladies of Llangollen and what it was like for her to experience "gay representation" for the first time. The lovely Miss Pickford also makes a cameo and Anne allows mans work to stir her desire for bad woman. If you're not drinking already, you may want to start as we continue on our journey of the bombastic grubble melodrama that is Anne Lister and Mariana Lawton.

To help keep ourselves organized, we've included a detailed chapter list below with time stamps and dates for each entry referenced, and as always, we love to hear from you. Feel free to reach out and follow us on all the things for daily talk of grubbling @gentlemancrack @gentlemanjackcrack

Good lord! Two hours in and we're still not done breaking down Sally's script. During part two of the Anniana Saga, we finally complete the segment after taking many tangents, and give a quick run through of what's to come in the Diary Entries segment. Along the way we discover a number of intriguing deleted lines including an alternate argument between Anne and Mariana, as well as a different ending to the confrontation between Christopher Rawson and Anne. Somehow the latter meeting is even jauntier than what we saw on screen!

Hey ho Grubbleteers & greetings from Quarantine! It's been way too long, and we've missed you. After our GINtermission, we return with part two of this #HistoricalNightcap still sad, but always jaunty. In this back half we get into Anne Choma's brilliant companion book Gentleman Jack: The Real Anne Lister as we breakdown every moment leading up to Ann's departure. Turns out our #PatronSaintofThirst was thirsty as ever and sought to get Anne out of her braies. Captain Sutherland's mum is some how more awful than she appeared on the show, and snowfall makes Aunt Anne "wretched" as she imagines her niece jaunting to Crow Nest.

We also mention that hey, our website is now live! And we've got #GentlemanJackCrack swag available, including our beloved candle that we've gone on about for weeks. Plus we're doing a fundraising thing! In an effort to drive awareness and donations to the Ann Walker Memorial Foundation, we will be donating proceeds from all the merch featuring the "go on fearlessly" mantra, to this incredible and desperately needed organization. We have an interview with the 2 founders releasing soon with more info, but in the mean time, please visit GentlemanJackCrack.com to check some of the merch we have available. There you'll find our #GrubbleGoth & #JauntyAF Collections in addition lots of Ann Walker goodness and of course, vulgar jokes because its us.

It took a while, but it's finally here, and surprise surprise... its another two part episode! In this first half, we break down Sally's script for episode 6 "Do Ladies Do That" and the notes we found inside. Mariana's presence looms, the servants have more drama, and Anne tries to hold her world together while everything around her falls apart. It's another emotional #HistoricalNightcap and much gin was had.

Also, we finally have a website now where merch is actually available! Well friends we're finally here, to the infamous events of Blackstone Edge and Scarbo', that would come to influence the rest of Anniana's relationship as we know it. We wanted more context around that memorable argument between Anne and Mariana in the gig in episode 7, and we finally have it. What did she say?? What did she do? Spoiler alert: too goddamn much, but thanks to a few inspired cameos from our other favorite learned queer Miss Pickford, it's not all bad times. We think you're really going to join us with the drinking for this part.

Per usual we've included a detailed chapter list below with time stamps and dates for each entry referenced, and as always, we'd love to hear from you. Feel free to reach out and follow us on all the things for daily talk of grubbling @gentlemancrack @gentlemanjackcrack
