Gentleman Jack Historical Nightcap - Dolefuls Aplenty: Heartbreak, Family, and Insatiable Desire at Crow Nest Part I
Explicit content warning
11/19/19 • 121 min
It took a while, but it's finally here, and surprise surprise... its another two part episode! In this first half, we break down Sally's script for episode 6 "Do Ladies Do That" and the notes we found inside. Mariana's presence looms, the servants have more drama, and Anne tries to hold her world together while everything around her falls apart. It's another emotional #HistoricalNightcap and much gin was had.
Also, we finally have a website now where merch is actually available! We had way too much fun, and now there are scores of ridiculous things, including a bunch of designs for a collection we’re referring to as #GrubbleGoth- a perfectly apt name for where we are right now in the series. You can head on over to GentlemanJackCrack.com to see what we’re talking about. Please see below for relevant chapter marks + links, and follow us on all the things for daily talk of grubbling. @gentlemanjackcrack @gentlemancrack
We have a Patreon too for uncensored #grubbletalk: https://www.patreon.com/gentlemanjackcrack

Gentleman Jack Crack - "Do Ladies Do That?" Part II
Another intermission? We know, an excess of jaunt + a torrent of emotions, has resulted in yet another 2 part installment of #GentlemanJackCrack Is this becoming a thing now? Maybe...
Welp, hey ho, and welcome to Part II of our #GentlemanJackCrack recap on episode 6 entitled "Do Ladies Do That." As you might expect, rabid gay screaming continues, along with excessive laughter and more sobbing, as we dissect every frame of this extraordinary episode. Our Patron Saint of Thirst acts as both little spoon and big spoon in the SAME episode, and we’re still not over it.
We also mentioned another pair of IRL queer ladies, Lily Wust & Felice Schragenheim, played exquisitely in the film Aimee & Juguar, by actresses Juliane Köhler & Maria Schrader. Turns out this film is actually on Amazon Prime Video, should you be interested in checking it out. We discovered this after we finished recording, but wanted to make sure everyone was aware that it is available for viewing online.

Gentleman Jack Historical Nightcap - Dolefuls Aplenty: Heartbreak, Family, and Insatiable Desire at Crow Nest Part II
After our GINtermission, we return with part two of this #HistoricalNightcap still sad, but always jaunty. In this back half we get into Anne Choma's brilliant companion book Gentleman Jack: The Real Anne Lister as we breakdown every moment leading up to Ann's departure. Turns out our #PatronSaintofThirst was thirsty as ever and sought to get Anne out of her braies. Captain Sutherland's mum is some how more awful than she appeared on the show, and snowfall makes Aunt Anne "wretched" as she imagines her niece jaunting to Crow Nest.
We also mention that hey, our website is now live! And we've got #GentlemanJackCrack swag available, including our beloved candle that we've gone on about for weeks. Plus we're doing a fundraising thing! In an effort to drive awareness and donations to the Ann Walker Memorial Foundation, we will be donating proceeds from all the merch featuring the "go on fearlessly" mantra, to this incredible and desperately needed organization. We have an interview with the 2 founders releasing soon with more info, but in the mean time, please visit GentlemanJackCrack.com to check some of the merch we have available. There you'll find our #GrubbleGoth & #JauntyAF Collections in addition lots of Ann Walker goodness and of course, vulgar jokes because its us.
