It was the first major release from Disney+'s original live-action series and quickly became one of the most-watched shows in the world. The show features names such as Pedro Pascal as the Mandalorian and supporting roles by Rocky's Carl Weathers, Werner Herzog, Nick Nolte, Thor Ragnarok director Taika Waititi, actress and former mixed martial artist Gina Carano, comedian Amy Sedaris, Agents of SHIELD's Ming-Na Wen, comedian Bill Burr, Game of Thrones' Natalia Tena, and Breaking Bad's Giancarlo Esposito. The group of phenomenal directors helmed the 8 episodes of the first season includes Star Wars: Clone Wars writer and producer Dave Filoni, Dope writer and director Rick Famuyiwa, upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series director Deborah Chow, famous actress and daughter of renowned director Ron Howard, Bryce Dallas Howard, and What We do in the shadows, Ragnarok, and Jojo Rabbit director Taika Waititi.
