Coronavirus is everywhere, including footy. Steven and Andrea talk their regular chisme, despite Super Tuesday results (2:30), dive into FA cup controversies (9:30) and Liverpool's first string of 3 losses since Brendon Rogers. Between El Clasico (15:55), and the German Cup quarterfinals, this past weekend wasn't lacking entertainment, the Wankers also cover the MLS opening weekend (22:25) and the new NWSL commissioner appointment, Lisa Baird (25:55). Remember to enter our giveaway on Instagram for two NYCFC home game opener tickets, and follow us on twitter @fkwpod, Instagram @fullkitwankerspod and as always, you've got subs if you need 'em.

It’s a slow news week so the Wankers are discussing things like Pulisic’s Chipotle order, JLO’s Oscar snub, and January transfer window rumors (2:58). Managers with coaching licenses get sacked while others manage Bundesliga teams (11:40), there’s no science to it. McCall Zerboni is going to bring sauce to Sky Blue FC (20:40) and the FKWs want the new Club America kits. After a two week vacation hiatus, the Full Kit Wankers are back and introducing the newest member of the pod family: Indy the Pod Pup. Right before the hiatus, your two favorite pod hosts had a guest segment on Soccer Afternoon Live and it slayed. If you hear Andrea and Steven talking baby talk, it's because a baby miniature dachshund has joined their discussion fully kitted up as a fullback for Dortmund. So many fixtures to discuss, so little time, as the FKWs go over previous EPL matches (Chelsea what's going on?!), Copa Del Rey classicos, the rise and fall of Borussia Dortmund, and the FA Cup. After taking the audio engineer on a surprise trip to London to see Spurs play Dortmund at Wembley, the Wankers gush over their live footy experience, and love on Heung Min Son some more (because what else is new). They're hype over Concacaf Champions League and a super special MLS related guest dropping on the pod next week! SheBelieves that we will win, but why are the Reign FC leaving Seattle? And remember, you've got subs if you need 'em.

Midweek fixtures were so shocking they required a special delay in podcast release. These Wankers kick it old school, no guest, just the dulcet sounds of Andrea's singing and Steven going on about his fantasy team. Tune in for result recaps for the Carabao Cup, Copa Del Rey, the FA Cup, La Liga, Bundesliga and Premier League matches from midweek. It wouldn't be a true episode if the FKWs didn't speculate on the end of the transfer window, and some other footy rumors floating around. Landon Donovan just won't quit, Heung Min Son is back from Asia Cup (praised be), and Fellaini's headed to China. Tottenham lose, lose, and then win! Man City win win and then lose! Truly the world is unpredictable, but at least one can always count on LLorente to miss an open sitter. Don't forget to leave a review in order to qualify for the upcoming giveaway (if you've already left a review, take a screenshot and dm it to the Full Kit Wankers on social media). And as always, you've got subs if you need 'em.

A late Merry Christmas to Steven, as the FKWs are joined by Cosmos fanboy, and Copa90 presenter Patrick Infurna. The Wankers talk rumors: Zlatan throwing Ronaldo some shade, Marcelo Bielsa's Spygate frank admission, some paper chase including Everton's mind-boggling interest in Michael Bradley, and Timmy Weah slaying it at Celtic. They had a lot of English footy to catch up on including FA Cup 3rd round games, Pete Wild's heroic run as the Oldham manager, the League Cup semifinals' first round and Premier League fixtures. It's finally time to get back to 'Murica and see what in Sam hell is going on in our own backyard, touching upon the Atlanta Silverbacks, Tyler Adams' precious post match interview, and upcoming friendlies in late January. The segment everyone waits for, female intended play, is all about that NWSL draft, and how much someone needs to #freeskyblue which leads them into a heavy Wankers Weigh In, giving the idea of inclusivity in fan culture some thought. And remember, just because it's a new year, doesn't mean you can't take your subs, if you need 'em.

Full Kit Wankers: A Soccer Podcast - 12/25/18 - FKW Christmas special "Cheers, I've been sacked!"
play

12/25/18 • 36 min

Merry Christmas from the Full Kit Wankers! Your favorite soccer podcast hosts wouldn't dream of taking a holiday, not when there's so much December footy to discuss. Of course, the Wankers cover Mourinho's departure from Manchester United, and how he was "tricked" into the meeting leading to his firing. Andrea maybe thought Ole Gunnar Solksjaer's name was just Gunnar, and that Ole was a term of endearment. The Wankers refuse to acknowledge the the possibility that Pochettino will go to United, they marvel over Pogba's big 2pm announcement on Sunday, and revel in Harry Kane's OBE. Gabriel Camargo stars in this week's "not cool moment", proving Colombia hasn't quite moved past sexism just yet. The Wankers run down the Carabao cup quarterfinals, including the North London Derby Part Deux (coys), and the semi final draw before they delve into the USMNT and Gregg Berhalter's first January roster. They cap off the episode with some EPL, lauding Crystal Palace and Leicester City heroes of the weekend, and obsessing over Heung Min Son's finish (sorry Everton). They bid adieu to Ligue Un, La Liga and Bundesliga until early January and read some dope new reviews. Instead of a Wankers Weigh in, Andrea forced Steven to say "cute" a dozen times, in the Cute Christmas Corner segment, where the Wankers discussed different charitable causes teams and supporters' groups had been participating in for the holidays. Let them know of any worthy causes, and they'll post them to social media! Stay tuned for our Boxing Day Special, dropping on December 27th, and as always, even on the holidays, you've got subs if you need 'em.

Well it finally happened. Mourinho out. Only Natalie Imbruglia's dulcet tones can help us now. The Wankers carry on, however, discussing Champions League group stage culmination, Tottenham making it out of their group of death, Thomas Muller trying to kill a man, and Ronaldo always needing the glory. They briefly touch upon Europa League (it's not so bad but it's not so good) before moving on to some news from our own Backyard. Club America had a good week across the board, as did women's soccer in Mexico, attracting 40,000 fans and all of Andrea's heart. The Wankers then ventured to Jolly Ole England for a "pint at the pub", and discuss how much they hate when Americans adopt British colloquialisms. Spurs beat Burnley, Southampton took Arsenal to TASK, and Klopp got Mourinho fired, AGAIN. Just when you thought the episode couldn't be more lit? Adam Belz from The Scuffed Podcast joins us for a low audio quality skype interview all the way from Minnesota! The Full Kit Wankers' first long distance caller discusses all things US soccer related, in particular the Yanks abroad that should be making Americans proud. And as always fkws, you've got subs if you need 'em.

Full Kit Wankers: A Soccer Podcast - 10/10/18- "Sigurðsson can GET it. ALL the 'ssons' can get it."
play

10/09/18 • 45 min

These FKWs were #blessed to have Arsenal NYC's very own VP, Sean Swift, on the pod. This week's show includes recaps on Champions League, Europa League (sigh), the supporter's shield race between Atlanta FC and the New York Red Bulls, and Steven's clear obsession with the NY Cosmos. Listen to Andrea gush endlessly about Messi, continue to rag on Lamela and generally obsess over the bearded 'ssons' on Iceland's National team. The Wankers weigh in on Euro snobbery and why American soccer fans tend to choose European clubs over their own local football team. Don't worry, there's still a Mourinho soundbite. And never forget, you've got subs if you need 'em.
