VIVA LAS VEGAS!
Remember that time California had a blizzard? It was the end of February 2023 and it just so happened to be the weekend we planned to investigate The Pioneer Saloon with our friend Paul Roberts from Ghost Watch Paranormal.

We made our way safely through the CAJON PASS i15 fwy North by leaving a few hours early. Anyway~ we stayed at the South Point Casino hotel and booked a flash light tour at Zak Bagans Haunted Museum.

We decided to sip on a Tom Collins cocktail because that's our Vegas drink.
Ingredients

2 ounces London dry gin
1 ounce lemon juice, freshly squeezed
1/2 ounce simple syrup
Club soda, to top
Garnish: lemon wheel
Garnish: maraschino cherry

Steps

Add the gin, lemon juice and simple syrup to a Collins glass.
Fill with ice, top with club soda and stir.
Garnish with a lemon wheel and maraschino cherry (optional).

We finally finished our second book of the 2023 and we're excited to discuss this haunting novel that became our MOST FAVORITE horror movie.
Have you seen the movie? It's an old black and white starring Bette Davis and Joan Crawford. It's FABULOUS! The behind the scenes drama also led to another book Bette & Joan Feud by Shaun Considine
This book led to the FX series FEUD, a must watch after watching the movie.
It feels like forever since we finished reading the book and we will explain why we took a while longer to record this episode during the podcast.
Did we like the book as much as the movie? What led to Jane Hudson being caught?

We had some bust on this tour but also we had some of the most FUN we've ever had.

Manhattan Cocktail Recipe
Ingredients

Ice
2 ounces rye whiskey
1 ounce Carpano Antica Formula or other sweet vermouth
2 dashes of Angostura bitters
1 maraschino cherry, for garnish

Directions

Fill a pint glass with ice. Add rye, vermouth, and bitters and stir well.
Strain into a chilled coupe and garnish with maraschino cherry.
