Episode #5: 2023 Azerbaijan GP
05/05/23 • 71 min
This week we're talking about the dullest race of the season (so far) - Baku. F1 tries really hard to convince us that the new sprint format is exciting. Nope. Charles gets the poles, Checo gets the wins, there are only 13 overtakes and Esteban nearly drives into a group of photographers through no fault of his own. It's looking like a very long, very dull season ahead at this point.
Thankfully there's good action in the other formulas, including F2 where Ollie Bearman had a stormer of a weekend. Formula Academy was amazing! Maybe. Actually we don't know, because we couldn't watch. And we might be a little bitter about that.

Episode #4: 2023 Australian GP
We're back in the land down under for what turned out to be a race of attrition--for viewers who had to stay up way past their bedtime, as well as for the drivers who managed to stay on track after THREE red flags. We discuss more questionable decisions by the stewards and wonder just how far F1 has drifted into "spectacle over sport" territory.
There are plenty of winner and losers to chat about. And we raise a toast to Bottas' mullet and porn stache.
We also ponder how both parts and entire cars land in the grandstands, why Bernie Ecclestone is still a racist little toad, and whether Seb Vettlel's "Miami Underwater GP" t-shirt was prophetic.
Last but not least, we do a roundup on the latest on a bunch of other race series that we're watching during "F1 Spring Break".

Episode #6: 2023 Miami GP
Miami GP, a boring race, which upon reflection wasn't actually that boring despite no yellows, no safety cars, no DNFs. There were some interesting battles and some great overtakes.
That said, Formula E was where the wheel-to-wheel racing and overtakes really happened.
Maybe in Formula Academy as well, but as no one can watch those races, who knows.
