Chain Code: Mace Windu
03/22/21 • 108 min
Welcome to Episode 2 of ForceTime's series: Chain Code!
'Chain Codes' were made famous in The Mandalorian as a form of ID that stores biographical information and in each episode, Travis and Kara are deep diving into different Star Wars characters throughout the saga! For Episode 2, we are digging into the character of Mace Windu!
We take a look at the behind-the-scenes history of Mace Windu including his original concept by George Lucas, who almost got the part (Tupac?!), and the two actors who have portrayed him: Samuel L. Jackson in live action and Terrence "TC" Carson.
For his in-canon journey, we travel through the prequel era, including each movie and The Clone Wars, discuss the complexity of his decisions, and look at his relationship with Anakin Skywalker.
Come along for a deep analysis of the man with the purple lightsaber, Mace Windu!
