On episode four of “Flip the Script,” hosts Nicole Capretz and Ismahan Abdullahi share conversation with the ‘Ladies of Labor’ - Carol Kim, Political Director ofSan Diego County Building & Construction Trades Council, Bernadette Butkiewicz, Political Director at UA Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 230, Brigette Browning, President of UNITE HERE Local 30 and Gretchen Newsom, Political Director of IBEW 569. The women reveal the realities of being a female leader in a traditionally male-dominated space, what new dynamic and perspective they bring to the labor movement and how the shifting internal dynamics in labor has them more committed than ever to building larger community coalitions based on shared community values.
