Warning: There is a discussion of disordered eating and exercise behaviors throughout this episode.

Today, I’m bringing you a conversation I had with Jill Angie a few weeks ago for her @notyouraveragerunner podcast.
Here's Jill's episode description:

Despite what we commonly see in advertising and social media, women of all sizes can get sucked into disordered eating and compulsive or obsessive exercising. From a young age, Christine struggled with disordered eating, which transitioned into compulsive or obsessive exercising, and she’s here to share how she broke free from and healed those behaviours.

Join us on this episode as Christine offers her experience of disordered eating and exercise behaviours, and what helped her approach her body with more love and kindness. She’s sharing her take on what women taking up space means, why it’s vital for us to do so, and her top tips for making strength training and running more accessible to you.
It is an episode you won't want to miss.

How to stop playing small and find the feminine in strength with Sam Gwaz @thesamplan

This week I am having a fan girl moment and chatting to the amazing Sam Gwaz, MS, CSCS, CISSN - or @thesamplan across all social medias.

Sam is a nutrition coach, personal trainer, and most importantly self love and care advocate! Focusing on being (and teaching others) how to be their best, healthiest selves rather than simply the smallest.
Having been told to lose weight as a child by eating less and moving more, the joy was stripped from movement and exercise simply became part of the equation to keep herself small and skinny.
Until she decided that she was going to focus more on how she felt and was no longer going to play into the narrative that women need to be small and quiet.
Sam often hangs out on instagram and loves to chat in her DMs, feeling so strongly about helping others who are stuck with a punishing mindset around movement or who need guidance. You can find out more about the programs she offers here.
She is an absolute force and I am so proud of this conversation. Let me know what you think and if you enjoyed the podcast, leave me a review so I can keep making incredible content for YOU.

Sneeze with Ease. Reclaiming Your Pelvic Floor Power with Kathryn Meadows

Do you struggle with your pelvic floor?
Do you chose your activities based on the proximity to a toilet ?
Do you leak when you run, jump or lift heavy weights?
If you answered yes to any of the above questions, this is the episode for you!
My guest this week is Kathryn Meadows, a movement and mindset coach who helps her clients get back to loving movement especially those held back by pelvic floor and core issues.
She firmly believes all women have the right to be able to choose what they want to do and have fun moving their bodies without worrying about how it'll function.
She wants above anything else for women to be able to say yes to anything in life.
We dive deep and chat about overactive vs underactive pelvic floor function. We also answer the following questions from my listeners:
What's the first step when it comes to restoring pelvic floor & core function?
What steps can I take now to improve pelvic floor health?
Is it possible to sneeze with ease after childbirth?
This is a corker of an episode and really illuminated for me the simple fact that we can reclaim our pelvic floor health by advocating for ourselves, doing the work and taking the time to focus on ourselves.
Follow Kathryn on Instagram or visit her website for details of her 6 week Connect Your Core online course as well as other ways to work with her.
Let me know what you think and if you enjoyed this episode, please leave me a little review. I am passionate about helping women thrive in midlife and your feedback helps me do just that.
Love to you all
Christine xx
