#73 Women Need + Are Craving More Connection

Women NEED and are CRAVING true connection!
The more I work with and talk to women, the more I am realizing that we all just want connection. True, in-person, connection with others. We want to feel like we belong, that we are seen + heard. We all want to “fit in” while being ourselves, without having to change for others.

"I believe one of the challenges, especially for women, is the expectation placed on 18-year-olds to choose a major in college and decide on a career path that they’ll follow for the rest of their lives. We send them off to school or into the workforce without the necessary tools, resources, and support. Many women end up partying through school, developing poor habits. They get a job, get married, have children, and then experience a significant breakdown in their early 30s. Sound familiar?"

Has this happened to you? To a friend? Cousin? Sister? It happened to me.

To provide better support, we should start addressing the needs of women, girls, boys, and men before they become overwhelmed, stressed, and lonely.

We are hungry for connection, true, deep, honest, and in-person connection. The entire world pivoted to the virtual space in 2020, which is amazing and definitely has a place. However, as a whole society, we are missing out on many things by not being in close proximity to others. We need a village, close by, where we can learn and grow with. So many of us are missing this and it’s a shame.
