FeMANism Podcast

This week Jamie and Sam discuss a feminist film picked by Jamie, from a series of 37 feminist features- this one is titled “Saucy Stepsisters: Sorority Special.” As ever, Jamie’s choice is avant garde and, therefore, hard to find on the internet- do drop us a note if you manage to find a stable link! All that to say, Jamie surprises Sam with his first ever passionate contribution to their feminist film review series “Films with women in them”.

Spoiler alert- you will need tissues.

Have a friend who’d enjoy this episode? Feel free to share the boys’ feminist message!

If you’re new here, welcome to the FeMANism, a podcast for men, by men, for women. Brothers-in-law Sam Martin and Jamie Hoggart are just two great guys, the FeMANism podcast is their way of ensuring that the fight for equality is in capable cis male hands. Sam is a father of six female children and a recently qualified marriage counsellor. Jamie is an ex-ITV producer with some time on his hands, pending his next job offer. Together they are pretty confident they can speak on all feminist-related topics and finally sort this whole equality thing out once and for all. And all whilst making feminism more entertaining and a bit less annoying.

Paid subscribers get to watch Amy and Sam improvise the episodes, with their real voices and real giggles. Here’s a preview of what that’s like:

Move over Esther Perel, there’s a new counselling sheriff in town (Sam) and he’s prepared to put it all on the line to help couples in their relationships, starting with his own. In this week’s episode Sam and Kat receive a counselling session, specially recorded for the pod— with their fantastic new marriage counsellor (also Sam) guiding them toward reconcilliation.

DISCLAIMER: listeners at home are not advised to both give and receive their own counselling without extensive training. Sam has obtained Level One Essential skills in Relational Basics with the Swindon Institute of Marriage Correction and can be contacted for one-to-one-to-one sessions.

In this episode Kat is played by the brilliant Sarah Daykin and Jamie and Sam are played by Amy Hoggart and Samantha Martin with their voices digitally lowered.
