Fashionably Tardy

Natalie & Lissa are back with another episode, and this time it is all about love and confidence. Each guest has a story of determination, self-discovery, and love that feuls the many successes they have had thus far. We owe a very special thank you to each of them: Errol Isip of Model Hunt, Mandy Lieveld an NYC-based Runway Coach, and Ezra Jones founder of THEFSTATE.

Crystal Allen from Eyes Like Mine Inc. made a guest appearance to discuss her Miss Blind Diva Empowerment Pageant, and Cocoa Rivers gave great skincare tips on Style Me Up Nat. Many thanks to both of these ladies!

Continue the conversation with us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter @FTOnTheScene.

We are forever grateful for Autery Weekes with Autery Weekes Productions for doing all that he can to make sure the content we post is quality. Contact him for your sound engineering needs at m

Jeremy Jeffers was on keys for this episode, and he is also the mastermind behind our intro. The Below, find information for our other two music contributors, and yes, one is definitely a staple for us!

Disabled people do have a space in the fashion industry. Since we make up one fifth of the world’s population, we really are a big deal!

Special Announcement!! The FT Fitted Challenge is underway, and winners will receive $50! The contest runs from July 24, 2020 to August 1, 2020! Judges for this challenge will be posted on our social media sites. The directions are simple:

  1. Wear a nice outfit and take a photo
  2. Post it on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter @FTOnTheScene and the hashtags, #FTFittedChallenge and #FashionablyTardy.
  3. Include “alt text” on your photos so that blind users know what your outfit, hair, or background looks like. See this article for details! https://caneadventures.blog/2019/12/02/alt-text-on-social-media/

The red-carpet features for this episode include Lauren “Lolo” Spencer, a disabled model, actress, and activist, and Lucy Jones, founder of the Ffora brand specializing in fashionable designs for wheelchair users. Our Stiletto Award nominee is Alexandra Herold, founder of Patti and Ricky, an online adaptive fashion one-stop shop. Style Me Up Nat would not be possible without help from Coco Laquay, experienced stylist in the LA area.

Special shout out to Autery Weekes, our sound engineer. For information on his services, visit www.auteryweekes.com

High Fashion

The people behind the luxury brands we love may just be down-to-earth, stylish, strategic thinkers worth knowing! Get to know Paige Gilliland, children’s designer at Ralph Lauren and Tony Vincente, founder of Rossario George. We know that luxury brands can be expensive, but Rossario George is making major moves in the fashion industry to help more people dress luxuriously! Meanwhile, Kristopher Fraser (from the For the Culture Episode) joined us again on Style Me Up Nat to share even more ways to find high fashion at a low price!

A special thanks to our Stiletto Award Nominee – Oggy Nikolova, founder of Fashion Super Intern and The Agency De La Mode! She works hard every day to help interested young professions break into the fashion industry, and yes, some do end up at luxury brands!
