Reach out to Cody and Buhler to tell them what's up!
Brent Venables may not be the right head coach to lead Oklahoma in the SEC.
After getting his pants pulled over his head by former OU assistant Shane Beamer's South Carolina Gamecocks, why on god's green earth is Venables the most well-compensated state employee in Oklahoma?
While John Buhler (Staff Writer, FanSided.com) will be rooting against Lincoln Riley in every game he coaches for USC going forward, Cody Williams (Content Director, FanSided.com) feels bad for the UAB Blazers for the Trent Dilfer debacle.
As it is on every Monday of False Start, the boys had a bone or two to pick with the Associated Press, as well as revealing their projected 12-team College Football Playoff brackets.
Plus, the guys were idiots (still are) and took the time to admit defeat on a few things. False Start was a hoot and a half and will put some pep in your step on Monday or Tuesday or whenever you listen to this podcast.

Three Yards and a Cloud of Punt: Week 8, 2024: Georgia messes with Texas, Alabama goes to a dark place, Lincoln Riley and Brent Venables need to go, brother
Reach out to Cody and Buhler to tell them what's up!
And down goes Texas!
It was a bludgeoning at DKR on Saturday night, as Georgia handed the Longhorns their first defeat of the season. While it may have been a terribly officiated game, both teams are feeling comfortable about their chances of making the playoff.
As for Alabama, not so much... The Crimson Tide fell to 5-2 on the year by losing the Third Saturday in October in back-to-back trips to Neyland. Close, but no cigar.
While the SEC remains in flux regarding its playoff hopefuls, the State of Indiana has two teams we would like to see be a part of it in Indiana and Notre Dame. All hail Coach Cig!
And as far as head coaches who may need to dust off their resumes, Lincoln Riley and Brent Venables do not look like they are up for the challenge post conference realignment. The Power Two is eating them alive. The same thing applies to Sherrone Moore at Michigan, but Jim Harbaugh left him with nothing to work with.
John Buhler (Staff Writer, FanSided.com) and Cody Williams (Content Director, FanSided.com) had an absolute blast bringing you Three Yards and a Cloud of Punt for False Start after the Week 8 slate.

Episode 120: CFB Week 9 slate is hot sticky, sweet from LSU-A&M to Texas-Vandy, Illinois-Oregon might as well be in Snakeroot, Who are the unlucky ones of CFB?
Reach out to Cody and Buhler to tell them what's up!
C'mon, fire me up with some False Start!
The Rocket Boys didn't disappoint. While they still don't really know what an auk is, they have the aux and decided to Armageddon It with some Carmageddon for Northwestern at Iowa.
John Buhler (Staff Writer, FanSided.com) and Cody Williams (Content Director, FanSided.com) previewed the Week 9 slate with the help of Def Leppard and plenty of October Sky references that you and I and no one wanted.
The SEC will send us to space this week in a rocket with LSU at Texas A&M, Missouri at Alabama, and Texas at Vanderbilt.
As for the Big Ten, well, the boys might have to go freaking Snakeroot to see Illinois keep its slim playoff dreams alive in Autzen vs. Oregon.
And as far as who the unlucky ones are in the Power Four, some were easier to identify than others.
If you like 2020s college football, late '90s coming-of-age cinematic classics and '80s hair metal from across the pond, this episode of False Start is exactly what the doctor ordered. Just pour some sugar on it, and you'll be fine!
