Before I get ready to go online for a virtual presentation (webinar, virtual workshop, team training, keynote), I run through a checklist of items to help ensure a smooth event. This podcast covers my tips, including the following:

  • Do not disturb sign
  • Internet access
  • Backup WiFi
  • Content review
  • Attendee list
  • Open the zoom
  • Set in-Zoom settings
  • Play music
  • Play a pre-session loop
  • Share my screen / slideshow
  • Open a second screen
  • Send out a participant reminder
  • Text my family - DND (do not disturb)
  • Grab printouts from the printer
  • Get a beverage (water, coffee, sometimes both!
  • Quick mirror check
  • Tech check for attendees
  • Tech reminders / switch to phone audio if needed
  • Recording reminder / check system storage
  • Participant reminders
  • Load prize wheel
