Hello and welcome to the best Disney podcast that is recorded by a couple of Disney-loving, kitten-crazy, floppy eared dog enthusiasts.

This week in Disney News, rumored earnings from Mulan make the movie a huge success. This makes us wonder if the rumor that Pixar's Soul will also be released on streaming has a strong likelihood to be true. Tokyo Disneyland also soft-opened Enchanted Tales of Beauty and the Beast, another trackless ride with lots to see. Joe and I watched the ride video and were a little underwhelmed, but maybe it's different if you actually ride it! Sit back this week and prepare to have your mind bent and your ride experiences forever altered. Let me explain. You know how authors tend to write more background on a character than is ever given in a story? This week, we delve into the not-so-well-known ride backgrounds after seeing the mind-blowing post that you're actually dead when riding The Haunted Mansion. Yep! You read that right! You die during the ride! Hear about this and other crazy ride backgrounds that you wouldn't guess in your wildest dreams. (Seriously, you won't believe the back stories for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad OR Pirates of the Caribbean!) We hope you have a magical week full of pumpkin spice (if that's your sort of thing) and apple-picking. Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, where we discuss anything and everything Disney. Before we jump into the main topic, it’s time for a little Disney News!

WDW’s 50th Anniversary will officially end on March 31, 2023, about 18 months after it started.

Disney announced that cast dress rehearsals for Fantasmic have started! Finally!!

And lastly, is it possible that Disney will basically get their own Amazon Prime-like service? The talk around town says yes. They’ve mentioned QR codes during Disney+ shows and exclusive merch, but is this something people really want?

It’s been a while, so this week we resurrect one of our staples shows, “You can only pick one.”

This time we do “Paris Edition” choosing between different rides, shows, versions of the same ride in different parks, and merch.

These are always so hard, but we always enjoy how they force us to be critical of things we typically wouldn’t be critical of. Especially when you have three great and unique shows that can only be seen in Paris.

Do you agree with our picks?

As always, thank you so much for listening! Don’t forget to check us out on Facebook and Youtube or submit a question/topic for us to discuss on a future episode or support us on Patreon.

Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, where we discuss anything and everything Disney.

With Tron opening April 4th and running soft openings now, the new Tron merch is out, and it looks pretty awesome!

Also, this week Disney announced a bunch of new character-based interactions coming this year. Moana will be on the Floatillas in Animal Kingdom starting April 22. Mirabel will debut in the fall at Fairytail Garden in the Magic Kingdom. And Figment will appear at Imagination Pavillion later this year!

Legacy? What is a legacy?

With the passing of famous Imagineer and Disney Legend, Rolly Crump, this past week, we wanted to zoom in on the man and really talk about his life and what he's left behind.

It takes a special person to recognize their strengths, elevate others, and think outside the box, and that's exactly the type of person Rolly Crump was. From all accounts, he helped others actualize their potential, was revered by Walt, and he is responsible for some of the most iconic designs in Disneyland and Disney World.

Crump worked on It's a Small World, The Enchanted Tiki Room, and Haunted Mansion along with countless other projects both in the Disney Parks and beyond. It was a pleasure to learn about the life and contributions of this amazing man, and we think you're going to enjoy it, too!

As always, thank you so much for listening! Have a magical week!

Welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, where we talk everything and anything Disney. We have yet another fun one for you this week, but first, Disney news.

It’s been a long time coming. Finally, Disneyland will be reopening to California natives only on April 30th. Huzzah!

The 100 year archives exhibition is coming to the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia. As people who really want to visit the Disney Archives, you best believe we’ll be heading over there to check that out.

Disney announced they’re working on a Magic Kingdom TV Universe (MKTU maybe?). In it, they plan to focus on the Society of Explorers and Adventurers (SEA).

We haven’t done a game in a while, so this week we decided to start a new game that we hope to turn into a series called “Lost in Translation.” In it, we use Google translate to take some famous Disney quotes from known to poor clone. Turns out, when you take even the most familiar quotes through 2 languages and back to English, the results can be hilarious and downright unrecognizable. So play along with us as we enjoy trying to crack these crazy word puzzles.

As always, thank you for listening in. Don’t forget to tell a friend about us and to leave us a review. You rock!

Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, where we discuss anything and everything Disney.

This week in Disney News, Avengers Campus in Disneyland Paris will open July 20. It looks very similar to the one in Disneyland, but they have extra food options. And the restaurant Stark Factory has Hulkbuster armour!

Garsh! Happy 90th birthday, Goofy!

There are some big changes to Galaxy's Edge in Disneyland! They’ve decided to break the timeline (Galaxy’s Edge is supposed to be between Episode 7 and 8). Boba Fett and Fennec Shand are already in the park. In the future, Mando and Grogu will be appearing.

We also got a preview of some new merch coming to the parks including new lightsaber parts and Ashoka ears.

Animal Kingdom is a beautiful park, but we often hear that people skip this park if they’re limited on time. This week, we give you a list of 10 reasons why we love Animal Kingdom.

How many places can you view a spectacular bird show, ride amazing thrill rides, see kites crash, and learn how to draw all while avoiding the crowds?

So grab a churro and settle in for our celebration of everything AK.

Hello and welcome to Enchanted Ears Podcast where we talk about anything and everything Disney. This week we're delighted to share our interview with Tony Bancroft with you, but first, Disney News.

This week in Disney News, The Jungle Cruise is going to be undergoing an update similar to, but not nearly as extensive as, Splash Mountain to make it more PC. This needed change will not have anything to do with the Jungle Cruise movie set to come out this summer.

In rides-on-the-fritz news, The Three Caballeros continues to delight guests (a phrase that hasn’t been used about this ride maybe ever). After The Donald Duck animatronic broke, he was replaced by a plant. Now, all three animatronics are gone and replacing them? Cardboard cutouts. I’m glad to see that even a company as seemingly perfect as Disney has to phone it in every now and again. 🤣

Our guest this week is the ultra-impressive Tony Bancroft, lead animator of Pumbaa and Kronk, one of the directors of Mulan, author of Directing for Animation: Things You Didn't Learn in Art School, and co-host of The Bancroft Brothers Podcast. Dang...the accomplishments...what am I doing with my life?

Tony gives us some incredible insight into what it's like to be both an animator (you may or may not get taxidermied warthog heads in your office and be in danger of getting mauled by a lion) and director of a Disney animated film when you're at the ripe old age of 26.

We also learn about his mentor and how he got into designing comedy characters. He gives us interesting insight into what it's like watching a movie you helped create, and it's not all rainbows and butterflies. And have you ever been the boss of your twin brother? Tony has! Find out what it was like to manage Tom during what was certainly a pressure-cooker of an experience. Lastly, he gives some tattoo-on-the-forearm-worthy advice about how to stand out in a creative endeavor.

Once again, we want to thank Tony for letting us steal some time and talking to us. We learned a lot and had a blast (and also received some amazing free entertainment during a brief audio issue at the beginning of our call).

And lastly, if you wouldn't mind, pop over to your pod-delivery service and leave us a nice review. It helps us get into more ears and gives us the ability to talk to amazing people like Tony!

Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, where we discuss anything and everything Disney.

This week in Disney News, concept art and some preliminary plot details for Pixar’s newest movie Elemental were released on their social media.

In the parks, there have been a lot of little announcements. Disney will not be allowing people to prepurchase Genie+ after June 8. Also, on June 8th, ticket packages for 2023 will be going on sale. In addition to that, early park entry will continue through 2023.

Lastly, Variety published an article that a Daredevil series in the works!!!

Since the new Chip N’ Dale Rescue Rangers movie came out on Disney+ this past weekend, we figured we’d talk all about our second favorite rodent duo (after Mickey and Minnie, of course).

Chip n’ Dale have had an interesting ride from being antagonizing side characters to Pluto and Donald Duck in the 1940s all the way to headlining their own TV series in the late 80s. They’ve stayed mostly the same, but have also had some interesting facelifts (or CGI surgeries) along the way. Tune in to find out more about these two mischievous brothers/friends.

Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, where we discuss anything and everything Disney!

This week in Disney News, Gal Gadot was cast to play the Evil Queen in the live-action remake of Snow White. Disney also released what their RunDisney springtime surprise races will be and their lengths. There are definitely some shockers and let-downs. When you step into any Disney World park, you are bound to come face-to-concrete with that park's icon (unless you're in Hollywood Studios that is). The park icons, The Hollywood Tower Hotel, Spaceship Earth, Tree of Life, and Cinderella Castle, are everywhere. They're on merch, signs, and now have really nice new lighting packages for the 50th. So this week, we take some time to share some quick facts about them and what makes them special. Then, we power rank them to definitively say what's the best park icon overall! Disagree with us? Let us know why we under/overvalued certain park icons on our Facebook, Enchanted Ears! And if you have a suggestion for an upcoming episode, feel free to tell us there or on our website enchantedears.com! Have a magical week and thank you so much for listening!

Enchanted Ears - Anything & Everything Disney - The Adventurers Club

The Adventurers Club

This week in Disney News, Disney announces they're redoing Splash Mountain after some public pressure due to its ties to the movie Song of the South. It'll be rethemed as Princess and the Frog and it's actually been in the works for about a year.

Also, Disney announces their park reservation system.

We're so excited to talk about the Adventurers' Club this week, which used to be a club in what is currently Disney Springs. It was a magical place where actors, props, and the atmosphere would immerse you in the world of an explorer...oh and it was December 31,1937 every day. That's right, every night culminated in a beautiful New Year's Eve fireworks spectacular!

We go into the details (because this club was all about the details) that were involved in making this experience what sounds like a full-on joyride from when you came in to when you left. This includes one of the highlights of the Adventurers' Club experience, actors that were masters at improv and would converse with guests and star in stage shows. To fill out the experience more, there were talking animatronic heads, puppets, and unique traditions that would make you believe for a night that you were part of a vibrant secret society.

Sadly, this club closed down in the 2000s. Listen to find out answers to questions like: What caused the club's downfall? Is there any portion of the club that lives on today? For more information, please check out the amazing video and article by reviewtyme and wikipedia, which we used as our source.

We hope you're staying safe and well!
