Why Have Tribunal Deadlines Become Important During the Covid-19 Lockdown?
Employment Rights Online: The Podcast05/06/20 • 16 min
Hi Everyone
I hope you’re continuing to keep yourself safe and that you’re doing well.
The government have been pretty quiet this week, in relation to employment rights and covid-19 news. Not much has come out at all since our podcast last week, but you can bet that there is much churning going on in government, when the question of how to open up society and get people back to work in a safe way, is discussed.
One good thing that has come up this week, is the recommendation that employment tribunals extend their deadlines for submitting claims rom the current three months to six months.
In this weeks podcast episode, I explore this recommendation in detail looking at the implications for the current arrangements as a way to highlight why and extension in tribunal submission timelines, would really benefit workers – with benefits badly needed as a result of the impact of coronavirus working conditions.
Remember to subscribe to the podcast and tell others that we are here, so we can reach as many people as possible.
Bye for now
