Fentanyl the Good and the Bad
Hey everyone! Welcome back to another awesome episode.
Were talking about Fentanyl today, is it good? Is it bad? Honestly it really just depends on your perception and knowledge on the subject. Fentanyl has been a progressively more taboo subject for the past 2 decades but has amazing benefits as well as the ability to destroy very readily if not handled properly.
With the world falling into chaos and overdoses at an all-time high, it is more important than ever for you as the provider or in the public to understand what Fentanyl is and become an educator for those that do not know. You guys are all amazing and I hope you enjoy the show!

SUGAR, SUGAR, SUGAR!
Let's talk about sugar! All the things about diabetes and diabetic related conditions that arise in emergency medicine frequently that we do not do a great job of explaining or understanding fully. Some things we talk about include:
-Hypoglycemia
-Hyperglycemia
-DKA
-HHS
Why is it important to talk about more? Being one of the most common diseases (Diabetes), we have to make sure that we are up to date on information and refresh regularly. I hope everyone takes something home from this episode and learn something. Remember, sugar is great until it’s not!
