If ever there was an episode about a deep love for both Wall-E & Maximus (the horse from "Tangled"), this is the one. Join Tony Award-winner Lena Hall ("Hedwig and the Angry Inch," "Kinky Boots," TNT's "Snowpiercer") as she reminisces about her love of Disney growing up--from going to Disneyland as a kid and seeing Captain EO and "It's a Small World," to how as a child she would sing along to "The Little Mermaid" and the "big one" that is "Beauty and the Beast" (and wanting to be Snow White so badly). This rocker credits getting her singing chops to signing along to Disney movies as from "Kiss the Girl" to "Aladdin" and the entire soundtrack of "The Lion King," and loving the music and ballet sequences from "Fantasia." Lena recalls her first time going to Walt Disney World while on tour with "Cats," and also shares a very sordid story from a trip to Pleasure Island while on tour with "Annie Get Your Gun." Besides her love of Ursula, Sebastian, Timon & Pumbaa, and "The Nightmare Before Christmas," Lena digs in and talks about her love of the flawed Disney characters and just how complex they are. She shares a very romantic story about watching "Wall-E "with her husband (then boyfriend) in a little cabin together, as well as her time in "Tarzan" on Broadway and the challenges she faced during that part of her life--and finding her purpose. Play along with "The Origin of Love for Disney" game in which Lena is quizzed on how the Broadway Hedwigs relate to Disney, and listen as she slays the game "Rock Stars do Disney." This episode also includes an interview with E-Ticket Patreon member Michael!

#35 - Sierra Boggess
Broadway’s Ariel, Sierra Boggess (“The Little Mermaid,” “School of Rock,” “The Phantom of the Opera,” “It Shoulda Been You”), is the guest on this episode of “E-Ticket to Broadway” and shares just how much she’s always loved Disney, especially the sidekicks. As a kid Sierra never wanted to be Cinderella—she wanted to be Gus Gus, and has always loved “The Sword in the Stone” and Madam Mim and is ready to bring her to Broadway. Listen as she recalls going to Walt Disney World for the first time when she was six years old and loving the Haunted Mansion and taking a photo with Goofy—to then going to Toyko Disney Sea and Disneyland Paris as an adult. Sierra beautifully explains what makes a Disney Park so magical and “how they do everything they can to keep you invested in the magic," and shares a really wonderful observation that the Parks may be more deeply appreciated by the "young at heart." Sierra has a lot of love--from her must-do attractions including the Haunted Mansion, Indiana Jones, The Matterhorn and/or Expedition Everest; to her memories of her Broadway debut in "The Little Mermaid"; to "Brave" and learning about never giving up from watching Disney movies." She recounts stories with Jodi Benson, Jonathan Freeman, and Sherie Rene Scott, and shares her dream of performing in "Disney on Ice." This episode features a very intense conversation on Mouse Ears, and a very strong opinion of "It's a Small World," and the sounds of Britney Spears singing classic Disney tunes as only Sierra Boggess can do.

#37 - Rory O'Malley
"Disney was everything to me." Rory O'Malley ("The Book of Mormon," "Hamilton," "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee") joins David for this episode to chat Disney movies, the Parks, and making a difference in the world. From seeing "Beauty and the Beast" in the movie theater as a kid, to watching "Cinderella" multiple times, it's clear that this Tony Award-nominee has been a lifelong fan of the Mouse. Listen as Rory recalls his first trip to Walt Disney World when he was five years old, including an adorable story about meeting Mickey Mouse and loving "Peter Pan's Flight," and describes his admiration for Belle (and signing along to the movie's soundtrack, as well as wanting to be her). He and David discuss how he uses his voice and platform to push for positive change, and how the Disney stories echo these sentiments. Other topics on this episode include thoughts on when to bring kids to the Parks for the first time (and Rory sharing about the first time he brought both his mother and his son to Disneyland), how his best friend and college roommate (Josh Gad, also known as Olaf from "Frozen") had a letter from Disney CEO Michael Eisner on the wall of their dorm room, and what job Elder McKinley would have at the Disney Parks. Play along with Rory during "Turn it Off: Disney Theme Park Edition," where he answers questions related to when the Imagineers "turned off the lights" on different attractions, and share in Rory's dream of playing Wall-E on Broadway.
