Dusting for Prints: Episode One—Shadow of Truth's Omri Rose

Omri Rose is an Israeli-American-British on-camera and voice actor, podcast host and one of the creators behind Wondery's Shadow of Truth, the podcast accompaniment to the Netflix miniseries of the same name, which told the story of the 2006 murder of Tair Rada, a 13-year old Israeli girl, and became one of Netflix’s most-watched true-crime docs in 2018.
It’s a tragic case that shocked all of Israel. The miniseries brought this story of police tunnel vision, a legal system’s rush to judgment and wrongful conviction—and Tair’s own mother’s quest to find her daughter’s real killer—to the attention of the world.
We talk about the case, the creation of Shadow of Truth, and our shared skepticism of systems of so-called justice around the world. Omri shares how this work has inspired him and led him to create his latest podcast Spies and Lies, another real-life exploration of the world of espionage as seen through the eyes and past work of his co-host and father, former spy-master and intelligence operative, Jason.
