#6 - Life(style) trends: ChatGPT, authenticity on social media, health obsession & loneliness
05/02/23 • 27 min
The focus is on discussing trends that seem to become more prevalent into our lives. Do we mindlessly adopt them, or do we stop and think about how they can serve us?
The focus is on:
1. The adoption of AI, specifically ChatGPT into our lives. At what cost are we adopting this? Are we aware of the negative consequences?
2. The emergence of authenticity on social media: TikTok vs. Instagram, de-influencing, raw emotions, blurry pictures.
3. The continuous obsession with health: magnesium supplements, ashwagandha, mushroom gummies & lymphatic drainage.
4. Loneliness is becoming the norm: our hunter gatherer brain, being disconnected in the age of connection.
Hope you enjoy!!

#5 - Self-discovery and conflicts: what the psychoanalysts say & self-analysis tools you can use
"The more we face our own conflicts and seek out our own solutions, the more inner freedom and strength we will gain." - Karen D. Horney.
Internal conflicts are deeply understood in the field of psychoanalysis, as they explore the role of the subconscious in how we behave. People like Carl Jung & Karen D. Horney have spent years studying people, and guiding them to resolve internal conflicts.
The focus in this episode is on the individual processes that make internal conflicts arise & the tools they laid down for us to use to discover and resolve these conflicts.
Why is this important? As the quote above states: self-discovery is important for gaining more inner freedom and strength. Yet, how many of us truly understand why and how we even get to a point of experiencing conflicts?
The wisdom from Horney is used to understand how conflicts arise, how they are related to our attachment style, the coping style we adopt, and how the idealized self image can be problematic.
Afterwards, I present how to work of Jung gives us practical tools to bring the hidden parts of ourselves into our conscious awareness, like dream analysis.

Have you ever been in a situation where you felt motivated about implementing a change in your life?
Like waking up early, changing your eating habits, or changing some of your personality traits.
Only to end up in a spiral of negative thinking, self-sabotage and procrastination.
Many of us go through this, and a lot of times it's difficult to catch it while it's happening.
Instead: we give up.
Did you know that resistance is actually a very normal response of our brain, to change?
In this episode the focus is on psychological resistance and how we can practically approach solving it. It's discussed from the neuroscience, psychological, and psychoanalytical perspective.
Enjoy!!
