Don't Cut Your Own Bangs

In this episode we're welcoming back an old friend Alex Perry, of Practically Speaking.

Since we first sat down in season 1, Alex has done a Ted Talk, written and published her first book Minivan Mogul, and started a podcast of her own - Practically Speaking with Alex.

We talk about what it looks like to be powerful as a mother, speaker, author and entrepreneur and how embracing her mini-van fueled her creative fire and became her personal super power.

What used to be a form of self-deprecation became the center of her story and the beginning of her next phase in fully embracing herself.

Here's one of her road rules - "It's ok to stop and ask for directions."

We laughed so much in this episode, and it was a true joy to interview her again. I can't wait for you to laugh along with us.

53. Danielle x Amber Romaniuk: loving our body & ourselves

What does it mean to love our body when the world seems hyper focused on reminding us what's wrong with it?

Well, Amber Romaniuk from The No Sugar Coating Podcast has some answers.

As an emotional eating, hormone, and digestive expert - Amber is passionate about exploring our relationship with food, loving ourselves, battling perfection, and trusting our body.

In this episode we talk about the relationships between

  • Trust and Control
  • Boundaries and Restriction
  • Perfection and Growth

Her passion for this content is palpable and this episode is emotionally nutrient dense.

We talk about the transformations she's experienced in her own life, how that affects her work with clients, and how thinking "it's just me" can keep us silent and trapped in our pain.

At the end we also bond over being 6 years old "buying friends" with candy, and letting a bully borrow my hamster.

Enjoy!
