Ep13 is all about starting over after your divorce / separation.
Now I thought Fay & I were going to go down the practical route in this chat of the nuts and bolts of what do you do after the "formal" process was done...
But straight out the gate and Fay jumps in with a banger of question that I was expecting... "what was the major change you had to navigate after..." and it turns out she meant after "that conversation"!!! Like immediately after...
Where would I stay that first night?
When would I/could I see the kids?
How the hell do you communicate with your ex when you've just said it's over!?
As ever, we covered a loooooot of taboo topics and some really heavy hitting, every day questions that someone may be gong through.
Fingers crossed there are a lot of useful tips and insights in this one.

"You are what you eat" Or are you?
Or more importantly for our audience, does what you eat affect your divorce? How you'll act?
How you'll feel?
We thought we'd ask a Pro so we talked to Saffron Rogerson, a Nutritional Therapist from www.thislifenutrition.co.uk
We've likely all thought an ex was nuts... but I'd never thought that eating them (nuts not my ex!) could impact so much both physically, mentally & emotionally.

Divorce Coaching Podcast - Divorced Dads Story, Working with Mr Divorce Coach - Ep30
play

11/13/23 • 42 min

Hey Listeners 👋,
It's been some time since we recorded and upload a new episode! Too long in fact.
You will also notice some changes, in that it's just Tom Nash - Mr Divorce Coach on episodes moving forward.
I recently spoke to a former client of mine, who spent the best part of 2023 working with me as their Divorce Coach, following an introduction from their Family Lawyer, who rightly recognised that whilst they know the law... I know the emotions and lived experience of Divorce/Separation, and that this chap needed some extra support in his life.
This wonderful chap wanted to share his story with the world, what he went through, what he felt he was up against, the angst of feeling "maligned" from his children. How he had very little in terms of a "support network" around him. This is a very touching acknowledgment of the ups and downs of our emotions, how we cope through divorce, and where the boundaries of different types of support are.
Thank you for sharing your story and for the deeply kind words in relation to working with me.
This episode also highlights the consideration and in most cases need to have a positive network and people in your corner. Who can help challenge your thinking when you are stuck in fight/flight mode. To educate yourself on the process but also what you can and cannot control. A space where you have someone in your corner who helps you unpack all those thoughts so you can piece together more congruent decisions that you can live with when the legal and formalities are all done. And as our guest says.. hopefully find a better version of yourself and not become bitter.
If you have a positive story you would like to share, I would love to hear from you and have you on the show. DM me and we can set it up.
As always, please do give us a like👍, comment⌨️ & a share📲 for others to find and watch this video.
Enjoy and thanks for listening.

Hey Listeners 👋🎧
In this episode of The Divorce Coaching Podcast (Ep27 on YouTube & Ep24 on here!!! 🤩 WHEN did that happen😱!!),
Fay & I talk to my fellow Co-Parenting guru and Instagram friend from across the pond, Jen Gallagher from SingleParentingSolutions.com.
Jen has been #coparenting with her ex and their son since before their childs birth!!! Who knew you could start that early right. I was amazed to hear Jen's story, but more so than that, her expert tips for #singleparents and how to become a successful #coparent
She shares a wealth of personal and professional experience, with bitesize takeaway tips that you can go and try today after this video... I have to admit, I have a number of my own tips, but hearing Jen's style approach helped open my eyes even further and I'm so glad she did, I've been able to share her ideas with many of the parents I work with and they have made an immediate impact to help both the child(ren) and both parents.

Hey Listeners 👋
Our first episode of the Divorce Coaching Podcast for 2022, sees Fay & I continuing with our theme of "Divorce Myths Dispelled" as we have a lovely chat with Paul Linsell, expert Family Law Professional who heads up the Family Law team at Boyes Turner.
In this episode we get detailed and specific on a number of myths that come up a lot!..
From "is it only mum who has parental responsibility?"
To "do men only pay child maintenance?"
And one of my favourites "is the family court gender biased?"
Paul shares his wealth of knowledge about the law and answers a host of challenging questions. He helps us get the nitty gritty of all those "my mate said blah blah blah", and brings you the truth on a number of burning questions and myths.
We also get a little philosophical, talking about these divorce myths, not just the law but also the societal views that can be attained.
If you have any questions for Fay & I, or indeed have a divorce myth of your own you would like directly answered by Paul, comment or get in touch and we'll gladly assist.
We are in our 3rd year of the Divorce Coaching Podcast. We have a number of exciting new guests due on over the coming weeks and months, and a number of individuals who are coming to share their own stories of divorce / separation, their unique experiences and trials and tribulations they overcame.
If you would like to be a guest, get in touch and lets have a chat and get you booked on 👍
Thanks for listening.

Hey 👋,
Welcome to another episode of The Divorce Coaching Podcast...
Fay & I are on little mission to dispel some Divorce Myths!?... And bring you, the viewers, some hard facts and detailed truths from industry professionals.
This episode is all about Parental Alienation.
What it is? Both how it is defined in terminology & how to spot it.
Did you know there are 3 main types of Parental Alienation!
We ask questions like "do the kids have a voice?"
"Can you get a psychological assessment if you feel your situation is deemed severe?"
How do you demonstrate and prove that you are experiencing alienation?
What you can ask your children and how you can show them you are present in their lives and want to be.
How does it start? Can it be a subtle gradual thing? Or is it out-rightly obvious.
What is "sibling alienation"?
Our guest, Jeetesh Patel, is an expert Family Lawyer at Laurus Law. He works in many areas of Family Law including adoption and surrogacy. But he is also well known for his expertise in the field of parental alienation.
We pick Jeetesh's wonderful mind and extensive professional experience to answer a whole host of real-life and scenario based questions about Parental Alienation.
Have a watch/listen and let us know what you think?
Have a question for Jeetesh or want to work with him... Let us know and we'll happily put you in contact :)
As always, thanks for watching and listening.

Hey Listeners 👋,
In our last few episodes of The Divorce Coaching Podcast, we have been looking at the different ways and resources to help you and your fellow co-parent manage and transition through this phase of divorce/separation in relation to your children. We still have a few more episodes coming up on the CoParenting front but, I also wanted to bring you something fresh and unfortunately, not very well known of in the process of your divorce and legal proceedings!
In the UK, Legal Aid has become increasingly difficult to secure for lower income families and individuals. But there are other options to help secure that support and knowledgeable resource without having to spend 10's of £0,000's... By getting in touch with an organisation such as "Support Through Court", a charity dedicated to helping assist those facing legal proceedings with FREE yes FREE support through court process.
In this episode of the DCP, Fay & I talk to Lana Afaneh, the Assistant Manager for the Birmingham branch, as she tells us all about the different types of help this amazing charity can offer.
