A few days ago, I talked with Casey: a Wellness Coach & Holistic Nutritionist. We chatted about daily practices and habits that keep us feeling balanced, healthy, and whole. I'm highlighting important takeaways from our interview, which focused on SO much more than just food.
Her tips included: 1. Ditch the diet mindset, and the "blank or white" and "all or nothing" thinking about food and health. 2. Don't make your struggle your secret, when it comes to healthy eating. If you want to change old habits, find a mentor (an in-person mentor, or someone you resonate with on Instagram, or on You Tube) OR pay a coach or nutritionist for guidance. Reach out and get help on your wellness journey! Help is out there for you. 3. Eating when you're hungry helps you feel safe, steady, grounded, and emotionally-regulated. Listen to your body. Lastly, a good night's sleep, a quiet mind, and boundaries are important to our daily wellness!
