28. Instagram Introduces Pinned Posts
Enjoy the podcast? Send us a message!
In this week's episode of the Digital Wrap-Up, Riley revisits an Instagram feature that is now available to all users.
Instagram released a new feature on June 7 that allows users to pin up to three posts - photos or reels - to the top of their profile. This feature has been in testing the last few months but has officially launched to all users globally. Riley discussed this feature back in Episode 22 of the Digital Wrap-Up.
Pinning a post is easy - click on the post you want to pin, tap the three dots in the upper right hand corner, and hit "pin to your profile". This feature will allow users to be more creative and customize the appearance of their profiles. Businesses and content creators alike can really benefit from this feature, just like they have on the other platforms like Twitter and Facebook.
Instagram is also testing out another similar feature that will allow users even more flexibility and creativity on the appearance of their profiles which by allowing users to rearrange their grids. This feature is not available yet, but Instagram is always trying to find more ways to allow more creativity on its platform.
